Right along here ba. Hop wired, ipa (galaxy/mosaic), Lawsons. Soft, juicy, and hop forward w/ notes of melon and lemon/lime. I’m not in love w/ it but still decent enough hop juice,

Trillium x Side Project - Maillard Double Barrel Aged Barleywine Ale for today. Really great tasting, rich and sweet, dark and toasty with notes of charred brown bread, toffee, caramel malts, mapley brown sugar, molasses, mild chocolate, light roasty malts, dark fruits, black cherry, plum, dark berry, grapes, pear, dried fruit, raisin, figs, dates, apricot, subtle citrus, woody oaky wet bourbon barrel, vanilla, hints of spice, and floral earthy herbal grassy woodsy pine. Really nice strong sipper. Cheers all!

I'm calling it a day as far as work goes. The Stove Place (store) just came by and measured my fireplace and it's a go for the Jotul fireplace insert - woohoo! I'll stop by there tomorrow to formally place my order and put a down payment on it. Should be able to get it installed sometime in May hopefully. Having a Guinness Extra Stout now ...

You'll love the new one. They're incredibly efficient and you might not use so much wood. Unless you use it more than supplemental heat. Me and the wyfe love our insert. Had to knock out korbels and such. Are you getting a new facade as well or just the stove?

 

I'll get the surround as well as the stove. I plan on using it primarily as supplemental heat/ambiance, but in the event of a power outage it will be my source of heat. Right now, I have no source of heat in a power outage. I always enjoyed my old insert, but it's really old and doesn't meet code so time to move on up. Cheers!!!

Excellent. We also tossed an existing old unit that had etched glass and double doors that sounded like a garbage truck collecting shit when operated. The glass had a mountain scene with pine trees and two bears...we love our new one

Just got this notice of my beer delivery while walking the dog on his birthday. Shirtsleeve weather. There was snow a few.days ago.
