Happy Sunday, BA's! Washed the car and did a bunch of housework this morning. Now getting ready to sit down and watch the Reds v. Pirates game. Drinking Rhinegeist Truth.

Watching a dozen painted ladies emerge from their chrysalises on this misty morning feels like Christmas, so decided to crack one of these malt monsters - cheers!

 

I had to add this one to the database, which is a shame, because it’s one of the best pilsners I’ve ever tried! More people need to have this experience. Normally I’m more of a Trippel or Doppelbock type of guy, I like more character to my beers. But this is a super crisp, crackery, buttered bread, touch of citrus, and warming (very lightly spiced perhaps?) beer. One of my new favorites, will be picking up more of this on my next trip to my favorite Cervezeria.

Really nice selection of styles and good tasting brews.
#20 was my wife's Pindelton Coal Peach Whiskey and Strawberry lemonade on draft.
It's actually pretty tasty.

Good afternoon, all! Lunch at The Wild Hare in Cedar Falls: breaded tenderloin, paired with Confluence (Des Moines) Imogene Red. This is an Irish red ale brewed with Maris Otter two-row malt, East Kent Golding hops, and Irish ale yeast. I didn't know they were going to serve it in a frosted glass or I would've ordered a hot iron to poke it with. It was excellent once it warmed up a little.
