Hop Stoopid in a Boulevard pint glass I found at the resale shop today.

I really enjoy this Helles Bock from Swashbuckler. It has such an amazing honey floral finish. I really should have grabbed a full case when I was there.

A 12pk will have to do I guess?

Travel day 35, brewery no. 38 - Montana Brewing Company…drinking “Hoppy Gilmore” pale ale:



Malt nose/taste. Mild bitter linger. Otherwise, watery meh. We’re gonna try a couple more then walk to the next downtown brewery. Cheers from Billings MT, y’all!

I just found out Brett Kitznzer, the Brewmaster for Swashbuckler trained under Carroll Stoudt of Stoudt's Brewing Company and worked there for 21 years. I'm positive that I drank loads of his beer.
Small world.
No wonder his Helles Bock is so fantastic!

The Alchemist - Heady Topper now after a corned beef reuben sandwich from a famous local deli that is closing next month. Getting a bit of a dry roasted peanuty note in the toasted melanoidin bread crusty malt flavor, with an almost pickled dill flavor I was getting last week but refused to mention, and a more interesting and expected ruby red grapefruit slight dark berry hop flavor melding into tropical citrusy earthy floral dank pine flavors. Notes of blueberry, red grapefruit, lemony orange citrus, pineapple, mango, passionfruit, guava, nutty toasted bread crust malt, and dank resinous floral earthy herbal pine. Really great DIPA and when getting down to the nitty gritty I do love this hop flavor profile too. Pretty beautiful and interesting flavor on this one. Cheers everyone!
