Drinking a can of CCB Humidor IPA here in my hotel room, eating a little din-din. I've decided that what I previously thought was maybe some weird sanitation issues with this beer is definitely just the cedar.

    Saude, galera.

My better half got for me years ago. It had been gathering dust over the years, she pulled it out today, and now it may be my 'new' favorite (at least for big, dark brews)...

I told my wife I was staying in & laying low tonight, as usual M-W.
Got an invite 5 minutes later to drink a Brandy Huna with 2 other guys.:eek:

Still at home...drinking absolutely nothing but milk & water.

Sometimes you just gotta lay low....(they're saving the Brandy Hunah - thank god!)
Sometimes you gotta just keep things strong with the one you love...

    Cheers all!

First aprihop of the year. Time to turn the page on my favorite time of seasonals to less intense hops. Forgot how much I like this ale and the memories of spring it brings back.

This really showcases the woodsy complexity that made me fall in love with Simcoe as a home brewer. The 9.5% alcohol is well hidden. Bravo, Pipeworks, you have not let me down yet!

No pic tonight, it's been a rough one. I just opened a Stone 'Stochasticity Project' Grapefruit Slam IPA. This is my second one that I have bought and I'm really enjoying it! Cheers!!

ha-HAAAA!!! The "chillay" is simmerin' and smelling pretty darn good I must say!

Cleaning fridge turds now, how this one got away from me I'll never know.:( I was expecting a Barleywine since it's sitting at one year old, the nose is totally shot BUT, this hoppy monkey still has some spice in it and a whole lot of bite on the back end. (Wow! It's like one of those moments where you pull and old pair of pants from the closet and find money in the pocket!)

Old beer and old school - both still rockin'.

Beer review #708. Goose Island India Pale Ale.

I'm somehow just now getting around to reviewing this one.
Last review for the night; I'm onto some bombers of SNPA, and I'm gonna finish watching The Insider (1999).

See you in the AM, BeerAdvocate.

I wanted a stout for a nightcap, but I have all this BA and high-ABV stuff. Then I recalled an earlier thread today, on underrated or overlooked beers from respected breweries, and had that "A HA!" moment. Sure enough, I had one left, just begging to be enjoyed.

Dark, rich, and sexy, indeed. Also, roasty, smooth, and delicious.

2nd night in a row downing one of these bombers. Super tasty and quite blueberry-ish, although I don't get all the people equating it to an IPL. Just a dry finish to me
