Did a blind beer tasting last night. Surly won out for me and we had some funk.[IMG]

I've never been one to make up reasons to drink. I drink when I'm in the mood and celebrate beer several times a week. Unfortunately I probably won't celebrate tonight. Work early again tomorrow.

Had this Saturday night for the first time. It was all vanilla and bourbon all the time.

To my untrained palate, no. Didn't get any of that. I have another bottle that I'm going to keep for a year or so. Maybe by then the booziness will have calmed down enough for me to detect the coconut, and I will have developed a more refined palate.

No worries man. I was joking with you. Who am I to judge your perceptions? I mean realistically speaking, what your palate picks up, who am I to judge?

73° and sunny in Portland today. Officially entering sour/farmhouse/saison drinking months. Kicking it off with some Prairie 'Merica. Love this beer

Decided to go with another big one.

    2010 vintage.
Delicious stuff. Oaky, bourbon, dark fruits, leather.

Home from work. Having some "regular" Plead the 5th. Been drinking a bunch of this lately. It's in all the stores right now.

Mmm, that Eclipse went down too smooth. Drinking this now.

This is yeasty and fruity. Nice caramel sweetness and spice with a bitter finish. It's like drinking an aged Bigfoot. This isn't bad for the $1.75 purchase. Making a meat loaf dinner. Envy bitches!

    Listening to something lighter.
