Starting the day with a little something I first met at last year's (former Penn State) beer festival; good stuff:

Congrats on it being your first time. I'm yet to do it. Doubt it'll happen since I drink coffee in the morning.

 

Started with a year old Zhukov. Absolutely fantastic tobacco and dark fruit notes with a bitter chocolate finish. This is definitely one of the more tobacco prevalent beers. Even on the nose

Next was rum barrel Zhukov. This was actually amazing. Really sweetened out the base flavors and made it more of a milk chocolate finish. Of the four of us, this edged out reg Zhukov. Really well balanced and delicious.

Night capped with this guy. Nice citrusy notes. Pretty solid IPA

 

So was supposed to share this bottle between a friend my gf and me...that didn't happen cuz my friends are extremely flaky oh well. More beer for me and she says she can hang!

I finish the glamor shots lol and am ready to drink oh my god that beer us delightful good present bourbon flavor melds with dark vanilla and oak and burnt sugars it's so good and it gives your belly a nice warmth a s it settles ask the gf what she smells she says soy sauce
Overall good night lots of fun with her
Then that awkward moment when half a bottle of beer gets gf Shwasted lol

 

While rooting in my cellar earlier, I found a few more old Lake Erie Monsters. Now my drinking is planned for today and tomorrow - was drinking this when I found them:

Hallo! What are the details for the top most canned beer? I haven't spotted that one in Berlin yet and I like to get my mitts on it!

 

Hanging out at home, one of the younger members of the Channel 9 news team is sick. A big lunch beer sounded good. Had 9 of these in the basement. I'm more of an even numbers kind of guy. Should make the housework more enjoyable.

 

Just cracking it open... should make YARDWORK more enjoyable. Hoping it's not as hoppy as people say it is -- hoppy IRS's bother me a little bit generally... if I wanted a hoppy dark beer, I'd drink a Black IPA.

I think I came in with really high expectations for this one. It's a very solid beer with a unique taste. Great IPA, but doesn't stand with Jai Alai, Sculpin, or 60 Minute in my opinion. Though I've got another one in the fridge so we'll see how the second one goes down.

Took off work early to mow and trim the lawn, supposed to be sunny and 83 today! mowed the lawn in a light sprinkle, sun finally came out and did my trimming, now it has clouded back up and looks like more rain! (so much for sunny and 83) Still enjoying the day, regardless, and a Tallgrass Halcyon Unfiltered Wheat.

 

I think it is a nice balance. I like my bourbon, and it is pretty prominent, but I think a little less so than Wulver. If you reversed the coffee to bourbon flavor ratio in 14 KBS that is my best way to describe it.

 

@BeerKangaroo I Went down to the Kawkawlin River by my house looking for warm water species , not a bite, picked up a single at the corner store , they are getting into the mix a six game now,,,to me the mix a six's recently have been just beers stores have a hard time getting rid of. Not sure sure how i feel about individual pricing per say vs the six costing a flat price.

Here at the end of the season I'm hoping for Manchester to win this match and at least pull a draw on the last so as to prevent Liverpool FC from winning the Premier League title, not because I love Man City but because I'm a spiteful Everton supporter. This is far more info than you need, of course, so let's just say, hey, Manchester, you're alright. You gave us the Buzzers, for instance.

Being a homer today at the beer store, bought a Coast 32/50 Kolsch, and sixers of Westbrook Gose and One Claw. Sitting on my back deck under an umbrella enjoying a cool delicious after working in the yard all day.
