Nice brunch with the family at Julian's in Providence. Super food, cool vibe, very funky and fun vibe. Never been, but as The Terminator says, I'll be back! For one thing, great beer list...

Grocery shopping, mother in law visit. Done for the day. Already pullin ticks out of the dogs hair, one off my arm... Take and bake pizza.

Me...Matts Burning Rosids. I like the flavors. Really has some saison qualities, but it's amped up. Like it, don't love it.

The missus didn't like it at all, so cracked a Sunny Ridge from Jacks Abby. I don't think she is really feelin it! But she picked it herself. It would be a pity if I have to finish it....yep...a real tragedy one could say...

Happy days BA, moved on from my earlier Paradox with a totally reliable SNPA, then a libertine, then a Beaverton smoked porter that was really good and now moving on to my first Victory!

    Cheers everyone

Fixing to cut the grass. After that SN Summerfest & firing up the grill for burgers & brats. My wife threw me a curve ball. She wants to go canoeing tomorrow. Time to check the canned beer inventory....

First warm day this year so I opened up a bottle of Ephemere cerise (Unibroue). This beer requires warm day to be drinkable. Much nicer than the one I had this winter. Still nothing like a belgian Kriek aux cerises.

tried this for the 1st time myself earlier today & agree. it was certainly one of the most interesting pours i've had this year. still having trouble deciding how to mentally file it. to me it came off like a bottle of multiple styles all in one without conflict.

Returned to SA,Texas a few hours ago so I'm going to have a drink TX evening. The first one I bought because of the name, not because I knew anything about it. It's not bad, it just seems like something is missing. I like it good enough to finish the other 3 I have. What I'm really looking forward to is what I have on deck, and no it's not some super limited Jester King, it's something I had on draft last year about this time when I was just getting serious about GOOD beer.

As promised earlier in this thread.

Enjoying a nice honey barleywine from 2011. Utilizing the Stone Barley Wine glass wear.

Comments on this tragically lost 2011 Hopslam:

The ale has lost it's mojo. It is a dead ale. This ale is no more. It has ceased to be. It's bereft of life. It's expired...and gone to meet it's Maker. Etc.

Fantastic Saison, hoping these brats are a nice compliment

Maybe I'll follow the instructions and crack open a DFH Indian Brown Ale when I eat, I'm sure the Stone will be in my belly by the time these are done
