    Congratulations!! Babies are so much fun. Giving birth; well it's not always fun. But worth it!!!!! Great beer choice too!

    My temp in the cellar is pretty stable, between 59 and 61. I'm fermenting a Kolsch down there as we speak. This was like my 20th or 25th brew, but it's the first time I have had bottles blow on me. THat said I have had gushers in previous brews (seems like the longer I let them sit, the more likely they turn into gushers). The bottles in the previous case of this porter had a couple of gushers, but none of them blew. I'm not sure what it is. I primed using cane sugar, which is something I have never done. Perhaps that had something to do with it? I don't know. Still lots to learn for sure.....

    Checked out a new beer store today - first time in like a year (reviewed here) - didn't see anything that knocked me off my feet but did walk out with a 4-pack of Hoptimum - my local stores ran out last week :grinning:

    congrats man, ours will be here tomorrow, we're having our first, and a boy. I have a few 120s, wws, bcbs and bcbw and can't decide which one I'm going to open for the occasion. Any opinions would be great!

    Today marks the end of my first year on the job. Not bad, considering I started out as a 5-month temp. Celebrating accordingly with a brew I swiped during my stay in the States.

    Incredibly balanced for the ABV (15%). Roasty, deep caramel and hardcore molasses. This is exactly how I love my bourbon-aged beers. Vintages of this and Mowi Hiwa are permanent ISO. Message me if trying to get rid of it, for whatever ungodly reason.

    Gorgeous day in Chicago area. Taking a work at home day today. Did my 75 kettle bell swings and my 5-mile run so that I could enjoy this: Half Acre Heyoka. Such a treat when you're hot and sweaty. Cheers BAs, only 18 days until the official start of summer!

    My opinion would be to get some rest, as much as possible, because after today that's over! Congratulations, parenthood although tiring, is great. As for the beer I'd drink the bcbw.
