Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout
Let's see, let's see... Bomb!? Nah. FIS? (My all time favorite) but not now. Let's see... Yep! Almanac crushes another! (And the blueberry licorice is nice, too.)
This year's batch didn't do it and that acetate nuance you mentioned was the exact reason it was a thumbs down for me. Good to know I'm not crazy. (Even though I am! )
Just got back from the picnic, helluva fun time! Shitty to find out that our friend was in the hospital with a nasty blood infection though. But he told us to have some drinks and have a good time while he was recovering in the hospital!
So we did!
I enjoyed that growler of Free Will Techno IPA, still had plenty of carbonation even after a week; great stuff!
Those Mooseheads are from my buddy, since we were sent on a beer run for everyone else, he picked up his own; Miller Lite wasn't his favorite either. Can't blame him.
A little toasting with my best friend.
And my wife and best friend; haven't seen here drink this much in a looooong time!
And of course we walked down the street to see some fireworks! The show in Breinigsville never disappoints! These pics don't do it any justice, of course.
Some of the only U2 music I can stand to listen to is off of this album!
You messin' with 'ma boyz...
Always awesome, simcoe and amarillo hops are so delicious.
I should probably learn to read better. I grabbed a 500 ml from the local store fridge today assuming it was the normal Hefeweiss. No regrets, this is still the best Kristalweizen available! Tons of flavor, I love it!
Outstanding and reasonably priced 4 packs for a quad that is on the level of complexity of the ones out of Belgium. I love this stuff so much
Sorry bruh! It's just that this is where it all started and they just kept mimicking this album for years.
I cough after each sip. Fucking hottest beer I've ever had, my mouth is in Hell!!!!
Wow, that looks really good @schnarr84 Maybe you could send that in a box to make up for this:
Favorite band and one of my favorite beers - 'can't *click* enough likes. ... (!!!!!)
Tomooro is gonna be a rare Sunday off so....
24 oz of Prairie BOMB!
BRING IT !!!
Medieval times tomooro - I will be asking Lepers to refill my diet Cokes
started with hill farmstead port barrel damon (above). very good, but not great (bourbon damon much better).
independence day party with friends. later split hill farmstead bier de norma (excellent). closed with hill farmstead birth of tragedy (loved it).
Doing the beer equivalent of family party leftovers. Currently drinking Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Sam Adams Boston Lager.
One of the best Session IPAs ever.
Outstanding imperial English porter as usual. So rich and complex. Wow.
Got a bit of age on it, but still great! Nice balance of juicy citrus hops and caramel/maple malt sweetness. Delicious and crisp sipping.
Just finished up an extremely nice day with these...
It's my first actual BRITISH barleywine. About time! (It's the first and only one I have access to now.)
Expectations met and exceeded. Like sipping in the beer equivalent of caramel-coated nuts that have been toasted and smoked over smoldering oak chips.
Ten Fidy, I was lucky enough to grab a 4 pack. This beer is off the charts awesome, probably the best non barrel aged imperial stout I've had. Wow
Central Waters bourbon barrel barleywine.
It's Dirtwolf Saturday again so don't mind if I do, cheers!
Very fitting as I am a huge fan of Sergio Leone/Ennio Morricone. Pretty good stuff, definitely taste the cocoa fortunately more than the spaghetti it was brewed with! Got it mainly because they were all out of Prairie Bomb!.
Cheers to all
Funny. I had a bottle of this out and ready to go and a clip of "Once Upon a Time in the West" lined up before I decided to drink something else. Here's to my favorite silver screen minx, Claudia Cardinale anyway:
Lovin' the Beer Camp 12. Tonight's selection:
Cantillon kriek, Lambick x kriek and damnation.
Night cap. Wow. 2010 driftwood old cellar dweller barley wine. 11.8%. Has mellowed so much from a Hoppy fresh batch. Subtle sweetness some tobacco biscuits subtle sweetness. 14/10. There's a reason they keep winning Canadian brewery of the year
Not the biggest fan of Barleywines myself @schnarr84. But still would be nice to get something to rectify this situation.
