Ah Metallica before they went weak...Black Album, suing Napster, their train wreck documentary and doing ESPN commercials.
These guys live in my town...or James does. The others occasionally. I think I'd say what's up to James if I saw him. I'd call Lars an asshole.

Now having System of a Stout. Very solid brew! Great amount of chocolate, coffee, and molasses with a bitter finish. Nicely carbonated...so thick and chewy

[IMG] We're enjoying an Enjoy By after getting back from the beach. Eight days old makes it one of the oldet beers we've had the last few days. God I love San Diego. Cheers!

[IMG] The picture is small, but the bourbon flavors big! This is my first "Central Waters" or "Local Option" beer, even though it's a collaboration, but it is damn tasty

Of course! I saw him play an outdoor gig at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS (just 45 minutes from here) before he became well known. He's what you call crazy good. Guys like him just make me want to smash all my guitars and light them on fire. I was also lucky enough to see Michael Hedges a few times. He lived just to the west of me in the town of Enid, OK.

Having a good night! Had some Spaghetti-O's for dinner to relive my childhood, and now I have a few beers coming up tonight. Starting off with this, which is a strong offering from SN!

I can agree with all of those statements!! To me when they toured NON STOP to support the Black Album, that was the end. They burned themselves out. Bob Rock hasn't produced too many albums that weren't made to be commercial successes.

Were those O's as good as you remember? My Mom worked Saturdays for a little while when I was a kid and my Pops used to make me and my younger brother 1 of 3 things for lunch: A grilled cheese sandwich (you could dip it in ketchup if you wanted), boiled hot dogs or Chef Boyardee beef raviolis!
Can't stand to eat that canned pasta any more.

Just as good as I remember! I'm usually fairly picky when it comes to what I eat, but I was 100% satisfied to sit here and eat Spaghetti-O's directly out of the can like I used to do 14 - 15 years ago. My grandmother used to watch after me during the day as a child because both of my parents worked and she'd offer to make me lunch, and I always remember responding with, "no thanks, Nan! I got this!" and I'd walk into the kitchen and open a can and eat them just like that!

Could never do that, straight outta da can. Still to this day it grosses me out to think about eating it "cold" outta da can.

While you're in Sarasota, I would recommend a visit to Darwin's on 4th (http://www.darwinson4th.com). There used to be a great bar down there called Stairway to Belgium, they had the beers AND the waffles. Alas, they are no more.

Also, there are too many good beers in Fla to be drinking KBBS while in the state.

Cellar it and it really mellows out, loses a lot of the molasses flavor too, which sucks. I prefer this one fresh.
