Going to have a 5 year vertical of this soon. Great barleywine!
Had this one before dinner... Even having roughly 90 days of age on it, it was still bursting with juicy grapefruit flavor. Was really impressed with it, actually.
Having this for the first time now... My pop enjoys it far more than I do, but he's known for his love for pilsners and I'm known for my general indifference towards them. Gotta show love for my local guys though, and they provide a solid offering here, I gotta say.
I just wrote up a review for this beer:
truly good stuff!
Finally at camp with everyone else!
Ya. It's overpriced. Very good though. But I'd rather buy a $9 Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti or one of the comparable Clown Shoes Imperial Stouts. I had to buy it to check it off the list so to speak.
UGH.. wrong pic earlier...let's try this again..Two Dirty Bastards...
Keep finding IPA better than BELL's TWO HEARTED in MICHIGAN. DARK HORSE -Crooked Tree!! Kill your Idols.
I seriously have the best boss ever. Wasnt going to buy the Beer Camp pack ($27 after tax was a bit much for me right now), but my boss stepped in and hooked me up. I had the Chico King, Electric Ray, and Torpedo Pilsner tonight. Really looking forward to the rest of the pack.
The rest of my day went like this:
Great Dane Cascade Mountain Porter:
Great Dane Across The Pond Strong Ale:
Great Dane Belgian Pale Ale:
Great Dane Belgian IPA:
Great Dane Crop Circle Wheat, I took out the lemon:
Great Dane Old Glory American Pale Ale:
Great Dane Texas Speedbump IPA:
Then, reminiscing my student days, at the Memorial Union on Lake Mendota, a New Glarus Spotted Cow:
Lastly, at State Street Brats, a Lakefront Wisconsinite Summer Weisse:
And, an Ale Asylum Ballistic IPA:
Sir, I can do you like 3 better than those from MI off the top of my head: Shorts ControversiALE, Short's Hopstache, and Griffin Claw Norm's Raggedy Ass. Try em some time.
For being 8 years old, this has held up remarkably well!
Completion of the 7 year vertical
Boli Regional release?
Yes! It's the British Regional from 2012. The Britanica...I bought 2 boxes when they came out.
NICE!! BLACKROCKS 51k in the mix as well. CHEERS!!
This one time...at beer camp....
#baller!! 2 boxes? nice score.
Fuh- uck.... this is so damn good.. Love it...
Juicy citrus/tropical hops for a session IPA. Really good.
Need to get more of this. One of the best fruit beers out there. Last of this recent 4 pack.
A classic favorite.
Outstanding every single time. Glad fresh 4 packs flooded the state this month. More will be purchased soon.
Fresh batch for the weekend. Happy Saturday!
Thought I'd have just one more. Now I'm freestyle walking. Gotta learn when to say when. Love you guys. I'm out. Cheers!!
Eighth trip to Beer Camp...
Not a fan.
This is nothing special. Will never buy FOUNDERS - Double Trouble again.
Currently drinking a Fyodor's Classic (not pictured) after these...
Vertical of Alaskan Somked Porters 2006-2013, 2008 was my favorite.
Mean Old Tom is going down nicely.
Wish that I could upload a pic - don't have my phone with me. I'm about to crack open my very first, and quite possibly my last bottle of CBS (I only have one)... I purchased a handful of rare Founders brews a couple of years ago, and changed my avatar to the 2010 Nemesis I had last weekend. I'm almost afraid to drink the CBS, for fear that I'll adore it, and not ever have it again... but at least I have the opportunity. Cheers fellow BA's, I hold my first and last glass of CBS up to all of you.
Last one tonight: Spaghetti Western stout. Dee-lishus.
drunk.... Had liquor then
I also had meself a few wanks to Foxy back in the 90s
The perfect campfire sipper...
Aaahhhh... I could listen to this song all day long. Great beer, too!
Drinking the rest of my Bell'sTwo-Hearted Ale and also tried Union Jack. The Firestone was good, but Bell's blows it out of the water.
I followed in the steps of. @JayORear and made my trek to the GT - where I double fisted Alpine Nelson. The wife had Bruery Trade winds - sorry no pics but I do have this shot of my ModernTimes Coffee that came in the mail today
Edit : she just pulled out the emergency brew ahahah
Just spent over an hour with this beauty to bring my night to an end. Words fail me after drinking this. In my top 3 favorites ever, no question (just look at that absurd pour!) Goodnight, folks!
Have you had a chance to try it? I ordered a bag for my sister & brother in law as an anniversary gift and am hoping it lives up to the boast on the bag.
One of the best session IPAs ever. I have been keeping myself well stocked every time I visit family in OH. Centennial/Citra/Mosaic is a winning combo.
A regular fridge visitor lately. I love it.
Delicious Red wine oak aged Dubbel. Been loving the easy availability of Odd Side's barrel aged offerings. Plenty more barrel beers en route soon according to the facebook page.
Last bottle of the Citra/Galaxy Belgian IPA I made last summer. Still delicious. Very well balanced citrus/tropical hop and spicy/peppery yeast esters. High carbonation. Crisp.
Sometimes you have to make some tough decisions
Is my palate too blown out to enjoy something good?
Should I save it for another day?
How about that macroswill leftover from the gathering?
The answer? That all day IPA. Orval, tomorrow. FBS, maybe.
