BALADIN NOEL WITH MY FRIEND! GET THIS ELEGANT REFRESHING BEER!
Had to do some last minute shopping:
Sharing with my wife. Knicks. Custom thumbprint job.
Goose Island's bringing all the big boys out again... had a Night Stalker last night, and today, with a random opportunity, I stopped into the store and they had 2012 Big John, a beer I've had once or twice before, but from whatever the previous bottling date was...
So, 2012 Big John...
Haven't had this in a while. Enjoying with the lady after a long day of family stuff while watching the Giants have a late season meltdown. And the Cowgirls losing helped, too (all I have to look forward to is rooting against other teams in the NFC East since the Eagles season is a wash).
ps...how do you post a photo?
Working on a Hop Stoopid, since I finished my Alesmith IPA. Trying to decide what's next.
Hanging with bro in law here is round one.
WOW! WOW! Having an epic beer night with my friend! This beer is in honor for my grandpa(nonno in italiano) His birthday is on Christmas! Very elegant!
Head Hunter earlier.. Dark Horse Scotty Karate right now.. GL Blackout Stout later.. watching the Browns suck now.. cheers!
Wolavers Brown Ale, pretty good for something that's supposed to be good for you (Otter Creek Organic)!
Just finished a bottle of Wolavers Oatmeal Stout. Much better on tap.
Are they canning now?
Where can you get this in Mpls?
I also have this in my holiday lineup...trying to figure where it's going to fit in still...love the tune.
It's not WnB, but it will do nicely.
Ditto the song
Hopwired, and wrapping presents.
Odell's Myrcenary ~ Just one hell of an awesome DIPA!
Still haven't figured out how to post the photo - I'm trying photobucket, but having a tough time figuring it out.
I should get my 16 yr old to help me, 'cause I'm lost.
I value my "large format" beers as well.
I CAN TELL YOU ARE EXCITE!
Not sure about Photobucket, but Imageshack is easy to use. Find pic on your CPU > Resize image for message board > Click upload > And copy and paste forum link.
at dinner out, a stein (thank you WilliBrew) of west coast IPA, then another of Dogfish Indian Brown. Home At Last (thank you Steely Dan) and enjoying a healthy dose of Knob Creek on the rocks.
so far today:
Yeti from 5/2012
Might be my favorite beer of all time.
By Jove, I think I've got it...
Thanks bird22! Happy Holidays & Cheers!
2010 jolly pumpkin weizen bam.. girlfriend let me pick out one present from under the tree and this is what i picked. very impressed.. im guessing someone in the store helped point this out. with age on it this is sooo much better then fresh. awesome beer.
Waited 1 year so far and is my last bottle of my Brown Braggot. My goodness this is awesome!!
Mead mixed with a brown ale.
Perfect pre-dinner beer!
Just completed my first in-person trade, well, actually my first trade, with awesome BeerAdvocate and all around champion of the human race, Kirbmeist, who offered to bring me some of my most wanted beers, Tocobaga and Jai Alai, all the way from Florida to Pennsylvania. What a guy. He also surprised me with White Oak Aged Jai Alai, and this bitchin' Cigar City glass. Seriously, what a fuckin' ganster.
ON TO THE BEER! :
Ambers might be my favorite style. This definitely adds to that mindset. Nice hop profile, caramel & molasses back bone, citrus and almost a red fruit type taste here. So good. This will be up there with Troegs HopBack. As much as I love the glass, I need to try this from my tulip snifter to get the full aroma. Gonna wash the glass and set it on my desk next to my cigar box.
Jai and Oak Jai soon.
good stuff! first time I've had this. i'm glad I did.
Just got back from cigar city where I met up with Ravenacht. He hasn't been into craft beer that long but he is a true BA at heart who helped me out big time with a bottle of RareR DOS. If you ever meet him at a bar buy him a beer and if you ever trade with him crush him with extras.
While we were there I grabbed a Cafe Con Leche sweet stout. It is a fantastic Cuban coffee sweet stout.
Weyerbacher Blasphemy. Nice and warming on a chilly evening.
