Rarely see this Joisy beer in GA, so I didn't hesitate in picking it up. And the Best By date was missing so I figured the sooner the better.

Okay, changing speeds. Don't want to burn through my Cigar City TOO fast. However, I stopped at Giant Eagle on the way home, and like any good ticker, I bought three new beers. First off :

Maybe this needs to be colder. Maybe I'm comparing it to SNPA and Troegs Pale. Maybe I just drank the most mind-blowing beer I ever had and this is a really unfair follow up. Maybe it's a very average beer. Doesn't smell too good, doesn't taste too good.

Not bad, but if tomorrow I try this again, and it tastes the same, then it goes on my "will never buy again" list. Bummer, because G'Knight was a great beer and I look forward to finally getting around to Ten Fidy.

Water right now, but I have a few beers in the fridge. Debating that big bottle of Mad Elf, Dark Horse Perkulator, or DH Trout Stout.

Evening BA. I've decided to start a Christmas "Big Beer" tradition. Ironically I'm starting that tradition with Sweet 16.

After playing Santa at a family Christmas party, it's time for a beer. Santa chooses to have Voodoo Bengal right out of the can.

Tick night continues. I have two more new beers to try , but I need to wake up at 6 am, so they will wait until tomorrow, because I'm starting to get drunk. Probably for the good of the other beers, because that White Oak Jai Alai just ruined my life, in the best way possible. Anyway, beer 5/7 :

A good way to end the night. Founders never lets me down. I like rye! Hop Rod Rye is clearly better, but at 6.6ABV this is wonderful. A good way to wash the dissapointment of Dale's Pale Ale away.

Tomorrow, Terrapin Moo-Hoo and Troegs Dead Reckoning. The Steelers were knocked out of the playoffs today, by, of all teams, the Bengals? The Pirates shipped out Joel Hanrahan? No hockey season?! I don't even care right now. Did my first trade, with the first BA I've met and got a mindblowing beer.

One last huge thank you to Kirbmeist for bringing me great beer, in exchange for beer he could have just gotten himself while he was here. The BA community is so great, generous, and for the most part, respectful. It's been hell of a year. Hope to meet more of you. Hope to swap beers with more of you. Hope you're all well and have a good holiday. Sending some extra love to my bros Giovannilucano and jrnyc. Merry whatever the fuck you celebrate.

Been all over the celebration. Also enjoyed a local beer "Trichome Wheat," there is a Deschutes BB XXIII I might have to break out though. Planning on having it tomorrow, but it is tempting.
