One of my all time favs too. The summer my beach house adopted wrestling nicknames I was Rowdie Ronnie.

Now that is REAL stout, someone should talk to the Guinness people about it.

I am so glad I got the dehumidifier :grinning: So much comfort in my Apartment now, and no condensation on my brews :stuck_out_tongue:. The review lineup today:

Very solid Irish Red ale. Taste of caramel, toffee, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, pear, apple, light chocolate, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Really well balanced with pleasant robustness. Never feels watery though. Very smooth and crisp. Enjoyable. A good style example for what's there IMO.

Good Bock. Aromas had some overly prominent green apple off flavors. Taste was good with caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate, raisin, fig, plum, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Well balanced malt and yeast ester flavors with good robustness. Barring the off flavors in the nose, this is a nicely enjoyable bock.

Really tasty stuff. Taste of lemon zest, grapefruit, orange peel, pear, apple, banana, clove, pepper, bubblegum, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and yeast earthiness. Fair bit of pine bitterness and yeast spice on the finish. Very smooth, crisp, and a bit sticky on the finish. Really enjoyable. The 4 pack will not go to waste.

Solid English fruit stout. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, cranberry, toast, brown bread, light roast, raisin, plum, fig, herbal, and toast/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity tartness and a bit of roast bitterness on the finish. Well balanced dark/bready malt, cranberry, and English yeast ester flavors. I expected a lot more robustness of malt flavor for a 6% stout, but overall I still enjoyed it quite a bit.

Great stuff as expected. Taste of tart lemon zest, green apple, apricot, white wine, hay, straw, grass, herbal, oak, pepper, clove, musty brett funk, biscuit, spicy rye, and earthy yeast. Extremely smooth and crisp for the ABV. Great balance. A bit of a gusher there, but I already knew it would be. Delicious.

Kuhnhenn Double Rice IPA is one underappreciated beer around these parts. One of my favorite beers. Period.

Finishing up the first half of the Sam Summer Sampler with my far and away favorite from it, Boston Lager.

The Yankee-Ranger game had a 1:45 rain delay, they took the tarp off, spent a half hour deciding whether the field was playable, it starts raining again, the tarp goes back on, and still the umps apparently can't make up their minds.

One of my favs as well! The best part is that a bar 4 blocks from my house has it almost always for $6.25 a 22 oz. tall!!!

Pretty good batch, but 2-14 is still king to me. I also ran into some new DDBA's today, and had to buy a couple since this year is last call, and I haven't tried one yet. Cheers![IMG]

I've tried almost every Founders beer I've seen since they hit Tennessee and this one has been the biggest stand out so far. Damn tasty with a touch of smoke on the nose and taste. What a fine porter. Cheers
