Merry Christmas, from a Steelers fan. My disappointment for the Steelers missing the playoffs isn't because of the possibilities of a ring, but because it deprives us of a potential Steelers/Ravens game. Best rivalry in sports today.

I had one of those bottles in my hand the other day, really wanted to check it out, but couldn't get myself to spend $25 for it. Couldn't afford it to be more exact as I chose to go the quantity route (without sacrificing quality).

I think I paid $22 if it's any consolation. Heartily debated spending that but took a chance. It's a really good offering from them. It's not going to blow you away, but I'm very impressed and will absolutely pick up another. Still have no idea about abv but damn it's tasty. And getting better as it warms!

Chateau Planeres Excellence 2003 – very far from a wine guy but this is so insane close to Apis mead, it is almost hard to comprehend – brilliant stuff. Before Rochefort 10 (more star anis than usual), St. Bernard 12 (bit lighter than usual) & Fou’ Foune 12 (still good but clearly past prime for me) & Laphroaig 18 (way sweeter than expected, toffee, oranges, sweet wood, so mellow, crazy, great stuff). Had a Corsendonk Christmas 2012 two days ago, not too shabby considering how much I paid for it, roundly 65 dollar cents I figure.
