Hope all my fellow BAs are having a great Christmas celebration!

After spending a pleasant evening with my in-laws, I arrived home a bit ago and concluded I was thirsty for a tasty beverage. Decided on an '07 OSA from the cellar. Anxious to see how it has held up...

Quite oxidized, unfortunately. Not entirely surprising; still was worth a try, though. On deck is an '09 Doggie Claws..

Brooklyn Black Chocolate. If this was a year-round, it would be my go-to imp stout.

Most of the folks at the family party we were at were pounding scotch (sigh), so I probably finished about 1L of it by myself. Still amazing.

After church... we hit the Draught House here in Austin and I got...
Jester King El Cedro (Hoppy Cedar-Aged Ale w/ Brettanomyces)

    Followed by...
    Austin Beerworks Sputnick (w/ growler)

and finally a (512) Bruin cask variant that was aged in rum-soaked wood chips.

They brought me a big botlle of Chimay Blue. I can woe and moan all I want about bein' alone, but I had it pretty good. Not a bad Christmas.

My cousin and I split a three liter bottle of Double Bastard last night. Unexpectedly, we finished before dessert, so we iced down a 2009 Black Ops real quick and finished the night with that.

I'm counting the lack of a hangover that I have right now as a Christmas miracle.
