    i think a lot of people do NOT realize this, but unless i'm completely mistaken, Butte XVIV was not barrel aged. i found a lot of people looking for or predisposed to barrel aged components, were not as enamored with XXIV. peeps that i see really like darker Belgian styled beer loved it. without the barrel aging factors vs. those of The Abyss 12, i'm not so sure the 2 make for a good comparison - especially if that vitola you have in the picture wasn't just a photo prop.

    Got all the chores done before 1 today. Kevin love is officially a cavalier, the browns play tonight, and the gladiators play for a 'ship. This is absolutely necessary right now. Less then two weeks old and out of some new glassware to get into the Ohio spirit.

    A quick beer at Hunter's in Chesterton while my mutt gets groomed down the street. Smokin' Lightning smoked porter, 6.8% abv. Yes, I asked what's in the barrels. The bar keep swears he doesn't know.:wink:
