Wife is making beer can chicken. Didn't need the whole can, so I'm going old school and drinking a 24oz. can of Yuengling. The first few sips were a nice flashback, but now I'm starting to taste Corn Chex and dust.
Allagash Triple, I seem to be buying a lot of this lately.
My sweetheart's hosting a party at our place for a bunch of her workplace chums tonight and though she doesn't drink beer often and doesn't go for the hoppy stuff at all, she had the good sense to bring home a couple of Ipswich mix packs, a mix pack from Anderson Valley, and a twelver of SN Celebration. Not bad, girlfriend. Not bad at all.
The first partycomers should arrive within the hour, so I'm disarming my social anxiety with a lovely Ipswich Oatmeal Stout.
Off for the next five days. Starting with this.

Even with some age, it's rich chocolatey goodness.
Full Pint's Festivus Holiday Ale. My first try at this beer. It's a pretty flavorful brown ale. Will drink this for a while then may move on to something else. Hopefully a Unibroue (sp?) ale.

The two year old will probably be awesome. And it is International Awesome Day....
In honor of International Awesome Day (there is such a thing?).
The aroma reminded me of smoked salmon with capers (minus the salmon). Tastes quite good. The smokey compliments to the sweet stout is different in a great way.
Have not had this in a couple of years, Victory Prima Pils. Cheers!

I managed to get a 2nd bottle of this beer today so I'm trying one fresh...
I didn't get any chocolate covered cherries for Christmas so this is satisfying my craving.

Lagunitas sucks, followed by zombie dust, followed by some home-brewed sours. Also gonna start doing the Rosetta Stone Mandarin Chinese that I got for christmas. Goood friday.

Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier
My first time enjoying it in an actual weizen glass! Had to measure my pour somewhat, but it fit exactly into the glass. Left a bit in the bottle and gave it some swirls to stir up the yeast sediment, then dumped it down the center of the foam, resulting in the soft, golden haze you see.
Flawless drinking experience.
Thanks again nUgZ, that's my first homebrew and first label. I brewed again today and have to come up with a label for my new brew. It's a Surly Bender clone, haven't thought of a name or label design yet. Thinking about "Get Bent" for the name.
I don't think drinking beer and trying to learn Mandarin is going to work out too well for you...good luck though!!

Beer guy hooked me up today. Supposedly it was canned on 12/16, tastes pretty fresh to me.
LOL, I thought about going that route too.
A bomber of Lagunitas Cappucino Stout to be followed by a bomber of Stone Smoked Porter and all preceded by a 2X stout and a pumpkin ale.
