Now doing a side by side of '12 Eclipse Evan Williams and Rittenhouse Rye. Both really delicious.

Let it snow. Pre-gaming my Mom's birthday dinner.

    Started with this:

Finished with this (growler of HF Susan):

The latter blew away the former, though the former was still pretty tasty. Now to put down some delicious italian food.

So as you might imagine, January is by far the slowest month for the garden center business. Which means I get to basically just play with the cat and drink Furious out of a coffee mug... not such a bad gig.

The nose isn't as in your face as I expected, but the acidity comes through and sharpens the mouthfeel quite a bit.

I have to admit.. I always bitch about the bruery products being so over priced..... but yet again.. I find myself spending $24.99 on a bottle of "smoking wood".... and I will tell you this.... it is SUPERB!!!!! ................. It would, no doubt taste even better @ $10.99 though.......

Had a taste of the BB version today which was incredible.
Is this a lesser version? Depends.
    Is 48oz of regular 4D > 3oz of BB4D ? ;)

Twas the night after the night after the night after the night after the night after the night before Christmas
and all through the house, I heard a mouse scurry and I gathered my traps. I peered behind the stove and saw nothing, and when I turned around, to my dismay, I saw a rabid mouse, with teeth 10 inches long staring at me with a frothy glazed look. I knew immediately I had only one possible course of action to take from being stricken by a ravenous gnawing, and immediately opened a Sisyphus to immunize myself from the evil-rabid-mouse's devastating potentials.

Moving onto this. Not perfect, but I'm damn impressed by the subtle complexity it brings. I can see this being amazing with a couple years on it.

Just bought a bottle of Makers Mark 46 that I am really looking forward too. However, it's snowing like a mother fucker and I got a nice bottle of Long Trail Hibernator calling my name. The drawing of the little bear on the bottle makes me warm inside. Guess I will have to have both....

Just back from the sto'. Went there with the full intention of getting a nice stout or porter. Wound up being mesmerized by a six of Celebration. Oh well, I guess it's just gonna have to do!
