    [​IMG] Not only is it a great porter but I live a couple of miles away from his statue (Oregon IL). It would have been a cool picture next to the statue; however, you can't drink in the park.

    A little late with this one, but last Friday was my bday. Probably one of the best bday's I've had, that I can remember. After all, it was in freakin' Hawai'i! Anyway, the wife let me do my beer geek thing and sat with me, while I drank beer most of the morning with a few of the BAs here for Zwanze Day. Unlike years past, the keg kicked in a little over an hour, or so I was told. This was the Zwanze

    Shortly afterwards, we had a bottle share! My first bottle share, but a great one. Figured I would show them some of Charleson's best, Bourbon barreled Siberian Black Magic Panther. It was a hit, they all loved it. I've got some more Charleston gems waiting to be tried. Looking forward to sharing them.

    After that, we had a few Cantillons, since it was Zwanze Day. It was my first time having the Cantillon, really liked them. I see what all the buzz is about, but I don't think I'll be buying any bottles soon. A bit above my price bracket, but I'll gladly mooch some, if someone's sharing.

    Next was a bottle of Hommage. I had heard of this one, but never had it. It was pretty damn good. Again, above my bracket, but since it was being shared, I got to try a little bit.

    The last one I got to try, before I went snorkeling, was this one. I really liked it. I thought it was like bourbon soaked brownies. Doubt I'll ever get more, but so glad I got to try it.

    On the way back from snorkeling, I got a cool shot of Mt. Ka'ala over the pineapple fields.

    On Sunday, we took our weekly trip to Lani Kai. It was only fitting that I enjoy a local brew there.

    [​IMG] Liquor store has no more Big Eddy Uber Oktoberfest,:slight_frown: Settled for a six of this. Not as good IMHO, but very drinkable:wink:.
