Been thinking about opening one ... how's it drinking?
2013 Thirsty Dog Wulver
First time with this, and it's a 2012 vintage. Unbelievable! I have no idea what this tastes like fresh, but it's incredible with a couple of years on it. It's up there with the best coffee stouts!
Kudos on the glass! I want one, but can never seem to pull the trigger on ordering one haha.
That is seriously one of the sweetest beer labels on a can/bottle I've ever seen.
Watch out for grappa; it'll wreck you
A little something sour tonight.
Bell's Third Coast Old Ale
Thanks @LarryBell !
I tumbler for ya, I tumbler for ya, that's a song, right? I promise to watch the first half of the game from the gym tomorrow night, but tonight, I party! Cheers!
Real Ale Hans Pils. Crappy photo, but a very nice German style Pils.
This came in the mail today from a generous buddy of mine down in Oceanside - I've never had one:
My boy and I are into the game, tonight:

Drinking a Florida Beer Company Sunshine State Pils. Cheers!
RAR mislabeled/double labeled 2010 BCBS. Drinking sublime. Cheers!
2nd that. Was introduced to grappa for the first time on a trip to Germany with my wife by her friends who live in Germany (way before kids...when we had money!! ), mixing a lot of awesome German beer with that stuff made for a really rough following day. Learned my lesson, never mixing the two again!!
ok i now im not alone on this one !! dose anybody else thinks corona taste like piss !! dont ask how i now how piss taste like please lol
having these 2 greats from their respective states
Blonde from WV
Pale from LA
WOW, this place is dead tonight, it seems.
Anyway, on to a Just Outstanding. While we're on the subject of Just Outstandings, I've got 11 of them coming in the mail tomorrow. I'm a whore for Just Outstanding.
Tackling a sixer of these while I watch the Phish webcast
Night Shift Brewing 'Morph' - batch#4, canned today
Now there's a blast from the past!!!
And "Boy" do things change over the years!!
The name is appropriate!!
Getting to that Boont Barrel Amber (Anderson Valley) I was gonnna open last night. SOA soon! Deschutes Fresh Squeezed on deck. Bummer about the Royals...
Homebrew club tonight, had a bunch of samples of various styles as usual. Got way more brewing to do soon. I need to make a barleywine on bourbon oak and a lager at minimum in the next month. I need to buy or make a stir plate soon. Damn lagers need twice as many cells.
Damn nice Pilsener! This is brewed with NZ Pacifica and Motueka hops. Well carbonated with a fantastic head retention and appearance. Taste of lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange zest, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish. Well balanced and crisp finish that is slightly sticky. Very clean with no lager esters noticeable at all. Really impressive.
Very good White IPA. People who are pouring a clear white IPA, witbier, or wheat style in general are doing it wrong. Yeast swirled in the glass every time. Very nice lasting head and lacing around the glass. Taste of lemon, tangerine, orange peel, coriander, pear, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, pine, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness and yeast spice on the finish. Well balanced yeast, spice, hop, and malt flavors. Very smooth and crisp finish that is fairly creamy/sticky from the wheat and hops. Nicely enjoyable. I've had better white IPAs, but I will certainly enjoy this 6 pack thoroughly. Very tasty
Another excellent Berlier Weisse. I loved the normal edition. Love this even more. Taste of big sour green apple, blueberry, blackberry, lemon, lime, hay, straw, grass, white wine, white vinegar, musty funk, wheat, light leather, and yeasty earthiness. Great punch of sourness and acidity on the finish; with a good balance of light malt/fruit sweetness and a crisp finish. No cloying tartness at all. Great beer as expected. Love the normal one, and the fruit aged edition adds an additional layer of complexity. New Holland is seriously my go-to underrated brewer by far. But who cares what everyone else thinks anyways.
'Always a privilege to spend some cyber time with you geeks because I'm always learning about new beers that I've never tried before (and would like to). I raise my glass to ya'all and hope everyone had a great Tuesday. (And watching some baseball right now...)
Night cap for me...
This Boont Barl is meh at best...
This one really impressed
Unfortunately, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy.
I'm disappointed to even say...
Drinking a Two Henry's Gilded Age Golden Lager. Cheers!
Finished off the night with the Big Swell. Hoping for something more hoppy and bitter, this was kinda weak, like the Royal performance tonight.
Nice little tasting tonight!
Kicking back with a few of these after work and the hawks getting their 1st shut out the year with our back up goalie!
this is one hazy brew and is really hoppy for a wheat. Pretty much its like one step away from being fff's gumballhead, just not as hoppy. Perfect substitute I would say since the place by me only gets 1 case of gumballhead like every 2 weeks and its sold out by 8:05am. I dont plan on camping out every other thursday so looks like im buying this for now on like i have been. The 6 pack carrier is pretty awesome too!
