This is a really delicious beer. Great beer for a chilly morning.

 

Good morning BAs! Wheat beer are you drinking now? Why Kulmbacher Kapuzinger Bavarian Hefeweizen of course! Quite tasty - sorry I travel with only a shaker and not a weizen glass. I'll have to go back to GucciB to grab a couple more of these. No photos - my computer is dead and I can't connect my camera to this one.

Took care of a bunch of stuff today. Tasting a beer I just sent out now, hopefully he enjoys it as much as I do!

I love to support the local brewers ... well I guess an hour away is still local ...
This one is far superior to many of Two Brothers other offering and very well balanced.
It's definitely gonna pair well with my Smoked Pulled Pork Chili ...

Disclosure: This is from Saturday night, but just getting around to posting this. My wife & I hosted our first craft beer tasting with some friends after talking about doing so for about 2 years now. We went with the pumpkin theme and tried 6 different brews. We had them sample them, try to guess what the beers were, and then asked them to rank them from top to bottom. I started the pre-party with this one....

And finally the aftermath....

As you can see, we finished off the remaining bottles, started mixing Pumking and Warlock, and then I broke out some other goodies, including a BCBS that most of my friends had never had before. Anyways, in the end, I forgot to get the cards at the end of the evening, so I only had half to go by for the rankings. Stevens Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale was the winner, with Williamsburg Alewerks, Pumking, Warlock, and Crown Valley very close behind. The clear loser of the evening was the Terrapin IPP. It's a decent beer on its own, but fell well short compared to these big boys. It was a fun evening and I hope to do this again soon. Cheers!!

How the mix of Warlock and Pumking?

 

Just reviewed Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier - Urbock. World Class (4.61) and slightly better than their Marzen variant (4.5) due to better balance via sweetness, slightly higher carbonation and more body and texture. If you don't care for the rauchbier style, you can always just...

Was pleasantly surprised to find this at my bottle shop. Lagunita's can do no wrong in my book, another fine beer by them. Cheers!
