What beer are you drinking now? #746

Ahoy! me buckos. I'm enjoying some outstanding grog this mornin.

 

Going to enjoy a few session ales and then prepare for work tonight. Some 3 Floyds Gumballhead and yumyum thanks to a fellow BAer hooking me up in a trade.

 

Ok I'm genuinely curious. Why drink a beer in the shower? Does it taste better? I generally think I'm a fairly clean person, but I don't spend enough time in the shower to drink a beer. Or is it you are trying to get several things done at once? Maybe @Hopgoddess312 can weigh in on the subject.

On another note I may have purchased several bottles of that how is it? Either way enjoy your beer and day!

Haha, because it said 'shower' on the bottle---not too complicated!

The beer was great, although I have a bias for single-hop beers, so I've loved the Showers series. Nelson is more delicate than Galaxy, for instance, but it still comes out hugely aromatic and delicious. Lots of Meyer lemon and oily 'florality', just great. =] Good start to the day.

edit: And after checking out WBAYDN #730, I'm glad I didn't have to share it with a squirrel! Those buggers are aggressive around here.

Cheers BA! and a Wonderful Wednesday to all of you. I woke up this morning with a spring in my stride and whistling a happy tune. I wonder what I dreamt? Anyway, I even lucked out and bought a nice stout today at the store on impulse and tomorrow is stout day! I am making a nice stew for dinner tonight and I was reading a BA thread on what beer to pair with it. I don't have porter, the stout is for tomorrow and then I noticed @smakawhat suggested a saision (sorachi ace if I remember right to go with pho - close enough) which is why I went to the store in the first place. That was my original pairing idea as well. I did not buy sorachi ace but I did pick up some hennepin. It also went nicely with lunch. Turkey , arugula, cheddar and apple on whole wheat. That's also why I bought it. It had to do two meals.

 

Man, this is great! Very similar to Prairie Bomb, though I wish it was a little more spicy. Love the new glass, too... perfect size and classy.

 

Found this one tucked behind some Belgians down in my cellar... I think I bought several months ago which is probably why it was fairly "meh."

FEUCHTER TRAUM translates to WET DREAM... maybe I'll give it another go sometime in the future.

If anyone is near Cumming GA, I highly recommend stopping in at Rosati's Pizza Pub... That's the only place this beer is tapped, that I am aware of.



It's Red Brick's Unholy Beast, which is the Bourbon Barrel Aged version of Holy Brother.
