@Bonsall_Phil That ODB catch was insane. One simple measure of just how incredible it was: all the satirical sports Twitter accounts (Fake_ESPN, FakeJohnMadden, et al) completely dropped their act for a moment and straight up tweeted their respect. That's like breaking the fourth wall to say, "Dayum!"

    Dayum...dayum...DAY-AM!!!

On a beer-related note, I'm still nursing this BA Narwhal...and sad it's my last one.

    Hey, so, football, eh?
Three tight late games - pretty tense if you're a fan ...and then the Seattle win over Arizona... I'm figurin' Arizona will exact their revenge on Seattle when they host them in week 16. Washington and Miami were both very competitive - surprised regarding Washington - 'specially after their QB/coach-nonsense the past week. They made San Fran work for it today. Miami just plain has some talent on both sides of the ball. Still hate 'em though (*sorry*). Glad to see the Rams playing well even though they lost - Jeff Fisher really got screwed with that job post - lol - playing Seattle, San Fran, and Arizona all year... Ugh. No easy feat. They need to start finishing these games with wins...
For the record, picked Dallas, Buffalo, and NO to win the next three games, although there is no certainty to any of that.
Would love to see my NY teams win regardless of my picks.
    Well, we'll see...

    Listening to...

    Cheers, BA...

Had this one at a local steakhouse last week. Came across a four pack in the beer store. Excellent. Making this one a regular.

Great catch, maybe the best ever; now I wish the refs would see all the damn holding the G-men are doing. Good gravy... SNPA & now the same beer you're having mine is from 2013...

It's a seasonal and won't be a regular unless you stock up.

Just using the same old joke from the past about the spices - I'm pretty sure there's bound to be some slight variations in the hops/age/handling between the years. It may be slightly different, but I really can't tell. But then again, I can hardly remember what I had for dinner last night sometimes :grimacing:

    NBS x-post!

A nice and pleasant Belgian pale ale. Taste of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, honey, biscuit, light clove, and some yeast/herbal hop earthiness. Light earthy yeast spiciness and hop bitterness on the finish. Well balanced malt and yeast flavors with no cloying sweetness. Very smooth and fairly crisp finish. I've had much bolder versions of the style for sure, but this was quite enjoyable.

This is a very impressive imperial stout. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, brown sugar, light dark fruit/licorice, light char, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Moderate amount of roast and earthy hop bitterness on the finish. Very smooth and moderately creamy mouthfeel. Great balance of bitterness/sweetness for the roasted malt profile. Medium-full bodied, moderate carbonation. Very smooth for 9.5%, not boozy at all for being so young. Aromas were much more forward on dark fruit and licorice notes with noticeable raisin and prune; but still well balanced with the deep malt character. Definitely a fan. Hopefully I can land some BBA when it's released.

Very nice Black IPA. Taste of big grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, citrus rind, and pineapple; with nice balance of chocolate, cocoa, toast, and light char malt flavors. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish with some light peppery yeast spice. Very well balanced between the hop, fruity brett, and roasted malt character. Moderate carbonation and medium bodied; smooth and fairly creamy mouthfeel; slightly sticky from hops. Very enjoyable. I really like black IPAs that actually showcase the malts instead of being all hops with black color for fun.
