After a DFH 120, a Lagunitas Maximus goes down like water.

This is...very interesting. The nose is fantastic. The taste isn't that far off, but this almost reminds me of their Dayman collab. The cocoa is a little stronger than the coffee, but...yes. I like it.

Sort of an odd ball sampling (considering NM barely got Holy Gose and doesn't get WB at all). The style is still very new to the state as well as myself.

WB is 0.2% lower in abv. I caught less carbonation, more tartness, and more of that complex funk flavor.
Holy Gose is a higher carbonated, clearer alternative. One could easily drink this and say, wow, this is tart, crisp, and refreshing. It tasted or seemed cleaner if that makes sense. Upon finishing them off, I caught more POSITIVE flavors with WB, as AVBC just kind of had one dimension going for it.

BA scores are sorta spot on. I'd give a slight increase to AVBC Holy Gose to maybe 88 range. WB Gose seems right around 91.

Slight nod to WB.. The love it seems to receive compared to its competition stuns me. I was expecting a blowout based off of hype.

Sadly I just discovered this.. Very underrated, easily accessible, and cheap oatmeal stout. As far as sub 7% stouts go, I think I like this more than Deschutes Obsidian or SN Stout

Ipswitch and Samuel Smith are great but at bomber prices, there are far from reliable. This stuff reeks of reliability. Older cans? It's a stout. I sorta don't care.. An AVBC ipa though? I'd be weary of freshness

I really didn't care for the last 2-3 years version, but having lived in Colorado prior to here, I'm not sure mine is well treated as yours...

I thought about sobering up. And then I decided I'd rather drink beer and play piano for the rest of the night.

I did notice the aroma was a little less pronounced in the bottle version vs. the keg, but didn't get much difference inthe taste. The bottles I had were dated 10/13/14, drank the second week of November. Not sure of the keg date though. Kegs are typically gonna be a little fresher, kept cooler, handled better, etc.... Still a damn fine beer though! But then again, I guess I'm a bit of a Sierra Nevada fanboy - they just keep putting out great stuff.
