Doing a side-by-side comparison of Straffe Hendrik and its 2011 Heritage bottling. Both are fine quads, though the cedar-like woodiness of the barrel-aged edition comes on a touch strong. Not entirely convinced that the latter is worth the steep price tag. Nevertheless, I can't complain too much. :)

Life is short. Might as well enjoy it.

That's how I convinced my wife to let me build a bar in my basement.

A beautiful picture, a beautiful dog. Think of all the good times you had with Bleu. I know he wouldn't trade anything for them. Take care.

Had a Scmaltz Terrapin Reunion 11 that has been hanging around. It was pretty good....nice tingle from the chili pepper. Actually went ok with fish and chips...

It's a beautiful fantastic film, but ultimately really depressing. I'm glad it finally got the attention that it deserved.

You'd probably get you're ass kicked if you poured a Genny into that glass
though. At least in some of the shit holes I've been served Genny in.

Conceding the loss with some Ale Asylum Hopalicious. Congrats, Green Bay. You get to live on only to get destroyed by San Francisco next week.

Trying this out, brought it back from PA in a random mixer. It's pretty good but not good enough to wake me up during these horribly boring NFL playoff games. Between Andy Dalton and Joe Webb I think you have like half of a QB.

Drinking my first founders imperial stout. Amazing.

Started the night splitting FFF Behemoth with a friend. This was after finding BCBS on the shelves still. Good day

1 SN Celebration and just opened a Schlafly Irish Style Extra Stout brewed on 12/26/12. I love when this beer comes out. It's not rated super high on here but I think they have improved it year over year and its a very good beer. Cheers!

And this is probably it for me tonight. I had a buddy pick up one of these for me and I wasn't sure what to expect. It tastes like a Tagalong cookie, really good imo.
