I actually paid-it-forward on this one. Went into my local store and asked if they had any left. The beer guy tells me that I am in luck, they have one 4-pack left. As he tells me that, another guy comes in and asks the same thing and says sorry, this guy gets the last one. He seemed disappointed, so when the beer guy came back to me with the last 4-pack, I walked up to the other guy and asked if he wanted to split it. Not only was he pumped, he was shocked anyone would actually do that.

Hope this happens to me someday!

Oh ya, really great beer as well.

I might go with a Sam Adams Irish Red to pair with some ribs tonight. Not sure if I should have something else though. Pictures to come when I crack a bottle open. Any suggestions on what to pair with some dry rubbed pork ribs?

A good porter (not anything with too much of a coffee taste (like most coffee porters). Some I recently had with BBQs: Smuttynose robust porter, entire butt ale, or St. Peters Porter.

OK. A Diabolical... again. I think this is a terrific brew that doesn't get the cred it should. My first try, a single, might of been stale or I was stupid or both, but I hated this at first. Now I'm an unpaid proselytizer that just can't shut up about this! Bottles dated too (and holds a punch decently, even after a time).

Kona Brewing Koko Brown Ale. The local bottle shop started carrying four Kona beers, and being a fan of coconut, I had to pick up the brown ale. Toasted coconut goes well with the brown ale. The second bottle was flat, and I was beginning to question my initial good impression, but the rest of the six was fine. Will buy again. Plus, you can learn a Hawaiian word by looking under the cap! "Inu" means "drink."
