I'm not a big sour drinker, but I really enjoy a good sour ale... :astonished:

    You know what I mean.

Let's talk football here: Home teams all day... Ready?
Baltimore @ New England: Close until Flacco throws a pick and the Ravens never recover :grimacing:
Carolina @ Seattle: Low scoring nonsense for a while; Seattle blows them away in the second half :grinning:
Well, we'll see, eh? :stuck_out_tongue: lol

Hey - this beer was great (if you like sours) - lots of white wine grape with lemon and grapefruit citrus (Mosaic and Nelson hops) - super-powerful initial pucker, but it relaxes after that; subtle wood and brettanomyces influences follow; plenty of tingle and tart before a drying, funk-ified finish...

    Cheers

That must be an incredible beer - big fan of Anchorage and barrel-aged Imperial stouts...
But, "Begian" style? C'mon, Anchorage: spell-check! :stuck_out_tongue: (...wait - is "Begian" a thing?)
Whew. Your man, Luck, is gonna need to have the game of a lifetime up there. They gotta get that guy some help.
You sir, are clearly high...

There is something so unique and wonderful about this stuff. The aroma is of cotton candy and banana. The first thing you taste is the cinnamon and spice, and then it evolves into a sweeter, banana, hefe-like flavor. I have never tried anything like it. Double Barley is an up-and-comer to watch for out of NC.

I don't normally shovel my driveway; I just run right through it, without a problem. Buuuuut....I'm being abnormally social tomorrow, hosting a party at my home, and I figured my guests just might be expecting some semblance of civilization.

So, a couple hours of sub-20F weather later, I think I've earned my first beer of the day.

Beer selfie. Poor quality, but I loved the sunlight on the bottle and the reflection on the beer.

    Cheers!

    17-7 Pale Ale
Our hop-forward pale ale named after our address in downtown Two Harbors, 17 – 7th Street. Brewed with our own 7-hop variety with enough of a biscuit-malt backbone to keep it honest.

I hate that I am only an hour away from Charlotte and it a rarity to have anything NoDa, Birdsong, or Triple C on draft (I've actually never seen any of those on draft in HKY). Cheers!
