    $1.97?!?!?! And it's such a tasty beer too. What the hell is Costco doing? I cannot believe there is THAT much mark up in this beer that they can let it go so cheaply. I'll definitely be back next year.

    someone else explained those are manager markdowns * & .97 price points indicate discontinued & personal pricing - sounds like they got desperate and maybe blew them out at a loss?

    however, that conclusion strikes me as off in that i could see 1 location reaching that point - the fact that multiple stores had it $2.97 & $1.97 sounds coordinated & unlike 1 belligerent manager. so, maybe that was their cost? fwiw, they were originally $5.99 before the markdowns kicked in.

    they had Santa's Little Helper (same time period) at the same price. so far as i can tell, they never budged on the pricing of those though.

    Just had my first beer from Flying Fish - Exit 16 (4.31). This one is very similar to Sculpin, just not as intense. Give it a try.
