    Wow!! Even at $5.99 it's a great deal. I bought two in early/mid December at my local Costco for $10.99 each which is the typical Costco $2 or $3 savings per 750ml I see vs. Whole Foods, BevMo and liquor stores. But damn! $5.99 still seems real cheap to me considering that's close to the average price of 375ml Abt 12's.

    This sort of defies the seemingly rational logic that maybe Costco discounts holiday beers post holiday because the beer could potentially take up floor space until the next holiday. But why mark down one seasonal and not the other? I wonder if there is more margin in Belgian beer vs. American craft? Very interesting... makes me curious and my head is starting to hurt.

    I need a beer.

    i went through my phone. you are right they were once $9.99. phone pic is so blurry not gonna post that & ruin someone's vision. i tried looking. i didn't take a picture when they were @ $5.99 but i'm 100% certain, because there was a guy next to me gazing who seemed unfamiliar with beer & looked to be shopping for a dinner party - he picked up 2 Chimay GR Blues & i happened to mention to him if he was thinking Belgian, the St. B's were practically shoplifting at $5.99 - he thanked me profusely, took 2 of those instead & proceeded on his phone. felt bad when i went back 3 days later & found them priced down to $2.97. at that point i ran out of options to avoid getting a few.

    my bad Santa's Little Helper was "$5.49" not $5.99. but notice the price does not end with .97 indicating a manager over-ruling / marking it down. least not at that point.

    You did that guy a big favor. Personally, I'd take St. B over Chimay Blue any day. No need to feel bad for him.
    The real tragedy here is with the 750ml Christmas Ale marked down to $2.97, it's too bad those Abt 12 magnums weren't $5.94 :slight_smile:

    First time having this tasty beer. Thanks to @aoampm who sent me a box of treats on Saturday via the NBS BIF. I just could not wait for Sunday to enjoy this one.
