A little FBS was my go-to for the night, never lets me down.
Polishing off a growler of Captain Lawrence Winter!
One down (Founders, yum), one (or more) to go.
I like this a lot. It's very good to excellent but it seems to be not quite as great as last years 5th Anniversary which is what this is. Still worth it if you can get it.
Vanilla Bean Buffalo Sweat possibly follow it up with a Lugene.
2011 Darkness seemed appropriate to nightcap a long day.
Second to last can remaining from my trade
My condolences to you and your family.
May the road rise to you ...
2nd half of the Liquid Bliss bomber going down. Man, I'm gonna miss this beer.
Smuttynose "finest kind" IPA
That Shipwreck Porter was good and all... But damn Bourbon County is so good
Good Evening BA's.
Started with a few Union Jacks, now moved onto this
Watching the Celts/Bobcats game.
Starting here. Not sure why I bother to seek out other IPAs when this is always here...
It's time, one beer tonight......FW DDBA....... The name confuses me... The beer is great!
Sampling a home-brewed stout, a few bottles of which I flavored with various extracts. Tonight I'm giving the raspberry version a whirl. First time I've ever tried such a thing. Surprisingly, it's not too shabby.
Afternoon gueuze time. 2012 Cantillon Saint-Gilloise, cheers!
Not actually drinking but I got a Beer Can chicken going with some Brown Shugga in the can!
Founders Bolt Cutter at cellar temp, and it's even better than I remembered! Honey, maple sugar, and dried fruit on the nose. Still some booze on the tongue (it is 15%), honey, brown sugar, light touches of toasted oak, sweet bourbon. I gotta pick up some more of this one while it's still around and stow it away.
Figured the only logical place to go next was here...
and boy am i glad i did...this is IMO what Red Thunder was trying to be...
Cheers to yoh Weyerbacher! Job well done.
Still sick. At least this numbs the pain of a hacking cough.
Moving on to another first time try
Mmmm, why did I only get one bomber?
No bacon, no rye
Overall, night tripper won followed by no bacon no rye. Night tripper was a real nice suprise. Slept on stout for sure. No bacon no rye was real good, but I wouldn't call it an old ale. My first time with dragon's milk and I was sadly underwhelmed, but loved the food at New Holland.
2 classics on this Monday night...Cheers!
First Ruthless Rye of the year!
How is this beer i was going to buy some today but didnt know
Moving right along...
Got a new snifter in today so I had to test it out...
IMO very tough to sit and just drink. Right up there with creme brulee. It has a great chocolate taste, but I sure as hell couldn't sit and drink one pint after another.
tonight I've had : a Union Jack IPA, a Sierra Nevada Narwhal ( finally showed up here in upstate NY...damned good affordable imperial stout) and a fresh Double Jack is in the tulip now. Personally I think Double Jack absolutely demolishes union jack in every department, taste, aroma, mouth feel, etc. Every time I buy that beer I am reminded of why I love it so much.
just made plans to make a trip with a buddy to catch these guys in Boston. one of the best metal bands in existence IMO.
In that case send me some please!
that narwhal is pretty good got some of those left in the fridge
Sippin on an Odell Lugene Choco Milk Stout. Silky smooth and delicious
Nice one, I'm still waiting to buy it online, I've found it for sale, but waiting until they have enough to make an order worthwhile.
I'm just assuming and extrapolating based on past experiences with big hairy wieners out in the woods...
Onto this now. Have had a few of them now (down to one bottle left ;_; ) and loving it. Also, maybe the first time a beer photo on here as been lit by candlelight?
Thought about busting out the Bourbon County but went this route instead...
Started with an Innis & Gunn
Now some Hop Crisis courtesy of my main man litheum94
