May he rest in peace.
Moving on to my first one of these this year. As always lives up to the name. I think one 4 pack will get me through until it comes out again next year though.
Short's Brewing Cup a Joe - Coffee Stout
Thanks Brian, cheers!
Now just sipping on a glass of carmenère and working on my syllabus for this semester . . . and then it's early to bed, early to rise.
Gotta get my calcium.
Nice glass—do I see Breckenridge's Small Batch 471 logo on the side? Really pretty patterning.
How did it get to be the middle of the month already?! Just got back in town from second work trip of the new eyar and have worked nearly every day since Jan 1. Taking a much needed "mental health day" tomorrow. So, good line up tonight...SN Celebration, NB Abbey Ale and Schlafly Irish Style Extra Stout. Should take the rough edges off.
Tried after a guy at work wouldn't stop raving a out it. Pretty damned good. No rochefort 10, but still good
Hopslam 2013 (gotta couple of the 2012s in the fridge).
Moved on to Imperial Three Blind Mice from Mother's (Springfield, MO) This is a decent beer but nothing ground breaking. I love brown ales but have yet to find an imperial version I really like.
While watching WWII in Color on Military Channel...
Pipeworks At Her Majesty's Pleasure
Good eye! Not bad for 50 cents at Goodwill
You and me both brother, had one of these earlier
I can't tolerate milk straight, but I'll cue these as calcium supplements.
Easy easy, lemon squeeze!
Hahaha nice! It's a great looking glass. Do you have a favorite in your collection?
That, and I fuckin' love Palate Wrecker. Can't wait to get some in my neck of the woods.
Round 2 tonight
Having a Kern River Winter Ale, which is the same recipe as their 5th Anniversary Ale. Its a damn good IPA whatever it is.
2012 Bourbon County Coffee. So good!
An American IPA from Japan that tastes better than quite a few American IPAs.
Mad props to YoHo Brewing in Nagano, Japan for Aooni India Pale Ale.
Next on deck is some brown shugga
Popped my first Frangelic Mountain Brown... And who says you can't enjoy Mondays.
For how average this beer is fresh I continue to be amazed how well it ages. Not as good as the '09, but its still marshmallow toffee goodness.
Wrapping things up with a silky smooth nightcap
Haven't opened one yet, unfortunately.
The lineup so far. WnB is far superior to many coffee beers.
Homebrew Belgian Golden thanks to ixodus for the recipe!!
Enjoying this one:
Thanks, unfortunately that was the last one. Time to brew another batch!
Saw your review, sounds awesome!
Not nearly as fresh as when I bought these in November, but it is still drinking better than any other double IPA available. It's gonna be a sad day when my fridge no longer has any Heady left.
Drinking this right now...well, actually i just finished. Really really delicious and juicy! Didnt blow me a way but it was still really juicy and really delicious. You can read my review here if youd like
Cheers ladies and gentlemen!
Love the cenntenial, underrated. First ever Bitches brew split with a friend, awesome.
