This is my 700th DIFFERENT beer tried. I wish I had something a little nicer to drink for the no. 700, but I am hoping this is acceptable and good, we'll see........

Good night for drinking...Dark Pennance, Pirate Bomb, and now the final of the night (maybe!), BBA Plead the 5th. Thanks to @MajorBuckeye for the trade - really liking this.

This was really damn delicious. Aromas of honey, caramel, brown sugar and toast maltiness with cinnamon/ginger/clove spice and some plum/fig fruitiness. Really prominent and well balanced. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, honey, toast, brown bread, plum, fig, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, and herbal/spice earthiness. Slight spice bitterness on the finish. Really great balance of flavors here; nice dark fruit presence with spices and dark toasty malt. Moderately creamy mouthfeel with some light slickness as well. Very smooth sipper, with a moderately warming finish, but never boozy. I was a really big fan of this, surprisingly excellent.

This was pretty good. Weak aromas consisting of caramel/brown sugar/toast/toffee and light chocolate with some herbal/piney hop balance. Pleasant enough. Taste of big caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate, light nuttiness and herbal/piney hops. Fair amount of piney bitterness on the finish. Some nice malt complexity with a balanced amount of earthy hop flavor/bitterness. Smooth/creamy with light hop stickiness on the finish. Some warming alcohol lingers after the finish, but its still really drinkable. Tasty for an imperial Am. brown ale. The overall vibe of the malt flavors didn't really click with me, and I would have preferred less piney hops going on; but I enjoyed it overall.

This is a really nice black DIPA from Abita. Big aromas of grapefruit/tangerine/pineapple/peach/light pine hops with balanced chocolate/cocoa/caramel/light coffee malt notes. Nice strength as well. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, light pine, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, light coffee, and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy hop and roast malt bitterness on the finish. Really nice bitter/sweet balance of flavors; really nice hop complexity and pretty juicy feeling as well. Smooth and fairly creamy/sticky finish with no alcohol presence at all. Really enjoyed this one.
