FW Abacus. Much better.
Maine Peeper Ale
I aim to please.
I really did forget just how good this beer is!
How else am I supposed to make up for the fact that I'm cutting back on non-beer-based forms of coffee (i.e. actual coffee)?
onto fresh jai alai to close out the night
I'll take his beer if he's not going.
Also, we need to get together at the fest and get crazy again.
Third eye blind eh? Mid 90's classic right there.
I got two heated and... HOPSLAM coming up soon! Glad I could grab it before it sold out in under 24 hours everywhere in Chicago it seems.
Also, watching the Bulls blows their huge lead and listening to Arcade Fire right now. Free Furthur webcast for all you deadheads out there tonight starting in an hour!
God damn Wednesdays alway makes me lose my patience with sobriety. Started with this earlier,
Now onto this,
Yes you should. It's very good.
Keeping with the Weihenstephaner theme!
1st one of the year... Been looking forward to it all day. Sooooo good!
Damn right. And Tom, if you spot any Hop Henge, give it a go. It's pretty damn tasty... I'm not typically that crazy about Deschutes' year round stuff either but this one can hang with the streets.
Love this stuff!
I think that's around. I'll look for it.
The Devil Made Me Do It
I can't get enough of this beer!
1. My palate is fatigued from Nugget Nectar so need to switch things up. (I know, cry me a river.)
2. Enjoying this one bottled a month ago but that glass is screamin' for Hop Slam which isn't available yet in PA. (I know, I know...and all you Midwest BA'rs are saying, "Cry me a river".) ...*sigh*
I thought tonight's theme was ketchup. Or Italian metal, accompanied by 1,000 novels about Italian metal or some such shit.
The vote is in! I will get a six pack right away!
Had a pretty nice night at a local bar having a dark beer event, met up with several local BAs.
Some stand outs, started with 2011 Black Note. Excellent beer, great balance. Don't know if I would give my kidney for it like some are asking in the trading forum though.
Moved onto Soft Dookie, beautiful vanilla nose, another very solid beer.
Then moved onto some Smoking Wood, very very nice smoked beer.
And finally a 2003 Aventinus....wowzers, oldest I had prior to this was a 2007 and I thought I really liked that...then I had this. Brilliant.
Had some other beers, most were meh including an infected 2011 Backwoods Bastard....
Continuing with ales brewed with honey, and having some Anna...
Thanks to MEW I'm enjoying this legacy.
Good Ol' Slam...
I second this motion

Rocking out to the new Bad Religion, can't wait for my red vinyl to get here!!!
I got 2 Optimators, 5 High Lifes and some George Dickel Cascade Hollow left. I ain't unhappy.
Alpha Klaus is great, I had the BB aged on Christmas Day, it was awesome. There are so many other amazing FFF beers I hope you get the chance to try.
Funny you bring it up, because I happened to stumble upon 13 extra tickets for the crazy train today while cleaning! And, I will buy you an 8 month old Ale la Reverend at HopCat...mmm nothing like aged 4.something ABV session IPAs.
Oh yah, btw, 2012 BCBS for a lil night cap. Today was a good day of drinking. Cheers to those of you that can't day drink and want to. Fuck you to those that just don't want to.
Canned 12/27/12 very good
Some of Duck-Rabbit's best work
1st Hopslam of the year. My friends refer to it as "Helpsmash". Delicious!
Joining the Hopslam bandwagon.
Felt like keeping it local today....so I went to Sprecher and brought these home...
Root Beer....w/ alcohol....aged in a barrel!!! Hell Yes!!!
Seasonal brew, good but thin!!!!
And finally their -bal Scotch Ale. Not bad, but a tad too sweet and once again, thin!
