    Karbach Staycation, which I can't get enough of. Got a 32oz growler of Sierra Nevada Scotch Ale for a little later that I am looking forward to trying.

    I love how the day after the weekend (normally Monday) is always so slow. It's almost as if a bunch of BAs are nursing hangovers..... :rolling_eyes:

    Started off the afternoon with this:

    Unfortunately, still a diacetyl bomb. I contacted the brewery, and they were super cool about it. I made it clear I wasn't looking for a refund; I just wanted to let them know about the issue - which is now confirmed, two for two.

    Fixed my palate with this:

    Ahhhhhh. So much better.

    And now, finally settling down (after work and house cleaning), relaxing with this:

    Great minds drink alike. I'm amazed at how smooth this is drinking right now. With a full year, oxidation starts to show, but right now, it's phenomenal.

    Some beers just scream summer. This is one of mine. I feel like its summer when it comes out in winter and I think its winter when it can't be found and its still summer. Oh well plenty of time to drink a few. Next up he'd to head with Nooner.
    I think I like the Czech style Summer fest better. Stay tuned......[​IMG]

    The closer for today, a freezer chilled, World Class...

    Today started with a 6:38 am phone call from my 95 year old mother's sitter. A driver had hit her car (the sitter's) and trashed my mother's porch. This ace driver had managed to take out the Stop sign, a wrought iron sign, the corner of mom's house, a bit of the side of the house's siding, about 8 of mom's shrubs, the side of the sitter's car, and blasted the 3 concrete steps of the porch into the back yard and moved the concrete porch about a foot from the side of her house. Birthday Stevie Nicks sums up today quite well...a gift from Jon Bovi...



    And a special favorite of mine...have a great evening fellow Beer Advocates...cheers!!

    And cooled this one down in the hillbilly crash chill cooler (as my neighbor's dog lapped water out of this hi-tec contraption :rolling_eyes:) ...

    'Split the bottle with my beer geek neighbor buddy and it was far better than when it was first released in 2010, a little infection gave this a mild twang that complimented the beer. I guess it was ready to be unleashed because the cork went flying out with not much coaxing on my part (unlike the cork-n-cage Weyerbachers :rolling_eyes:) and no trajectory arch either, just a straight shot with alot of propulsion hitting in the proximity of the "X" (wind factor taken into consideration :sunglasses:) ...

    Now? No premeditation or planning, just opened the beer fridge, closed my eyes and grabbed the first beer my hand came in contact with. But hey, it's a beer fridge which means there's only beer in it so "everybody's a winner!" :slight_smile: Yay-yyyyyyyyyyyy!! :grinning:

    Finally another session IPA besides Founders All Day IPA that I enjoy. As much of a letdown as Uinta's Detour was, this one is a treat.
