Evening BA! I started off with a Union Jack (glad to finally get this in cans) and just finished off a Resin. I'd never had Resin before picking up a 6 pack last week in Destin. Now I wish that I'd grabbed more. Excellent!

Stopped by an awesome local brewery, Levante Brewing, and had a few while getting some growlers for the weekend. The guys there picked fresh hops today. Very nice touch adding some of that love to a pour.

So literally all of the single track is closed down because of mud, so I rode rail trails for a good long countryside ride. I was originally planning on just a 40 miler, but I still felt great after that so I kept going and almost got a metric century lol. I was dead after this one.

    Beverages:

Always fantastic. Bright grapefruit, pineapple, citrus peel, and piney hops with light caramel/bready malts. Great sticky/crisp finish.

Delicious as usual. Light caramel and toasted bready malt with balanced herbal/spicy hop flavors and bitterness. Very clean and crisp.

Great imperial brown, I might buy another pack actually. Huge robust flavors of maple, molasses, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, dark bread, raisin, plum, and light nuttiness; with moderate herbal/spicy English hop and roasty bitterness. Great overall complexity and balance between malt, hops, and yeast fruitiness. Great creamy mouthfeel to top it all off. So delicious.

2014 Double crooked. Still tasting delicious! Grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, and light-moderate pine; with moderate malts of caramel, brown sugar, and toasted bread. Still has a nice amount of piney/grassy bitterness providing plenty of balance with the malts. Dangerously smooth with zero booze and minimal warming alcohol; still has a nice mouthfeel with moderate creaminess and hop stickiness present. Awesome! I think I might prefer to this to the fresh stuff, a bit too hot right at bottling.

    Cheers!

Last one of these amazing DIPAs. Went to Trill today to get my fix for the holiday weekend. Got a mixed case of Vicinity and two variants of FPPA.... then a few Island Creek Oysters and a bowl of chowda a R34. Best brewery/restaurant combo visit from one parking spot in New England IMO. Cheers BAers!!

A lot more chardonnay flavors coming off this than the peach, but it's still pretty good.

After a fun long day of daughter dragging me on every ride at Six Flags(Darien Lake) Blastoff is ride that propels you at some ungodly speed into the air as you're strapped into your seat, Rolling Thunder is loop that you travel very fastly around , Superman is best coaster I've been on, crazy drops and speeds. Coaster called the Mind Eraser and a bunch more. Times a ticking on this bomber of Enjoy By. So I'll take one for the team. [IMG]

A Bent Brewstillery triple header!!! Bent is an under-the-radar brewer in MSP that is getting a great rep in the beer nerd community. First up: Notdic Blonde, an amber blonde ale. A little sweet, a little tang, well executed.

#2, Moar, a "Historical IPA." I was expecting an English IPA - WRONG! More citrus, less malt than an EIPA. This is soooooo sessionable. Really liked this.

#3, Uber Lupin, a Schwarz IPA. Repeat: a Schwarz IPA. Count me in!!! Cocoa at first, then waves of hops. This is magnificent. I heard that Bent was doing some cool stuff that's "outside the box." That's an understatement of legendary proportions. Have a fantastic Friday, BA's.
