Are there any good new hoppy beers in Montreal right now? This will be the first weekend in a while where I might have time to check out a couple of bottle shops, anything I should be on the lookout for?

I'm in the same situation and was asking myself the same thing. No idea. I did see that Beau's has a west coast IPA which I may try depending on the date, their hoppy stuff has not been terrible the couple times I've tried it. Also, there was some Brett session IPA (one of my favorites) and a Double IPA from PC, but I don't know if there's any still kicking around. Additionally, I'm wary of the IIPA because I hate their regular IPA with a passion.

    Happy huntin'!

Didn't find too much yesterday. I grabbed the latest Theta IPA from Dunham, but I haven't tried it yet. Picked up a bottle of Laura from Vox Populi, which was decent, but it's much more Belgian blonde than IPA. And I grabbed an IPA Louvaine to give to my cousin for his birthday, I recall it being a very nice (though fairly light) IPA.

I also picked up some cans of DIPA from MaBrasserie, and apparently it's back to being good again? Or at least, a lot better than the last two batches I tried. The new cans look gorgeous, too. I hope they can level out the quality and keep it good, it's still one of my favorites.

I dig the label art. It's for a comic festival in Toronto.

Tried some recently: another good contribution to available Saidons. I wish LCBO would carry originals, and Quebec versions

Thank you @dabeerbuddha this one has eluded me for some time and I was very much looking forward to trying it. It absolutely delivered, what a beast of a beer. More hoppy barleywine than IPA

Saturday afternoon I got to spend a couple hours on Spinnakers patio. I liked the Red Fife Hefeweizen, but the barrel aged rye saison was a really pleasant surprise...

Every IPA I've had from Maine Beer Company has been nothing short of amazing. They seem to be walking that line between traditional and NEIPA, just super well crafted beers.

I wasn't a fan of Driftwoods Weizenbock (boozy domestic flavour), so I wasn't sure how their new Pils would turn out, but this is really damn good!
This might be at the top of my list for Canadian Pils (though I do have fond memories of one in Montreal). There's a bit of a sourdough backdrop, but this is really about the hops. Good bitterness too. Along with Hoyne and Moon Under Water, the Island just might become known for their Pils! Really some world class brews there.

I'm finishing the night with an Across the Nation Bouclier Canadien. Totally different, but also quite good. a crushable new world Lager with contemporary hop flavour. Why aren't more breweries doing this?

Four Winds Norwegian Wood... a refreshingly unique brew. The Kevic yeast, Brett C and Enigma hops play well together!
