Making my way through the Central City Across the Nation East Coast pack. The West Coast pack looks to be the more adventerous of the two - this one was pretty pedestrian.

Been sitting on this one for a while. Waiting for the right summer day. Lively pop. Crisp, clean, nicely carbed tart Berliner. The melon was a delicious and very subtle natural compliment. Refreshing at 3.9%. Thoroughly enjoyed this beer. Thanks @TeemuWPG!

I haven't had many note worthy Canadian beers lately, but this one's under rated IMHO. The Thaw by Block 3. Apricot, peach, Brett, oh my...

I've been sitting on this for a year and felt the time was right (read- got nervous ). It's a great Canadian collab. Two top tier breweries. They achieved what they were going for.
Wish they wanted Brett in that beer. Small but notable desire.

A bit flat but fruity. 3D flavour. Slightly aged fruit. Peach. Nectarine. Green grape Exceptional quality otherwise. Past best before date but still spot on.

Couple of highlights from Tuesday's Volo event with Cantillon. Sampled 14 different Cantillon. Had to retry a couple too.

Started with the Vigneronne. Nice fresh bright beer. Delicate Muscat notes although a medium sour. A really awesome blend for a guy who likes white wine notes in a beer.

    Mamouche 2016 - draft
More complexity. Very dry. Horsey. Elder flowers give it a herbal quality. Multilayered. Funky goodness. Dry! Tomas Morana pouring from the pitcher due to an overly active Mamouche.

    Fou Foune
Very young, very fruit, very sour. Very amazing. It stole the show for the evening. Apricots very present and the mouthfeel was extraordinary. Such a great beer. Possibly the best beer I have ever had!

    50 Degrees North -4 Degrees E

Lou Pepe Kriek in from of the cask. Same beer and Jean Van Roy was drinking. Very natural and pure black cherry with a mild tartness.

Was a great night shared with a couple of friends. Still riding the high!
    Cheers!

Of all the hops from this series I've gotten to try so far, this ones is my favorite right after the original Citra one.
I sat on this can as long as I could take and it got noticeable tastier. Take that for whatever it's worth.

Hmm, I liked the Amarillo Vox Pop IPA, but for me it was a noticeable step down from the Citra one.

That's what I meant. Step down from the citra, step up from the other ones they've done IMO.

I enjoyed the simcoe as well. But yeah, they should try and do the citra full time.

Nice surprise here. Cloudwater DDH Citra IPA all the way from the UK -- My better half is really picking up on my hobby lately, she had a colleague bring this back for her and she gave it to me as a birthday gift, but she let me have it early so "it could be as fresh as possible"

    I think I'll keep her.

I like the hops in this, but after a couple weeks of age on it, it's starting to taste more like a screwdriver than a beer.
