Driftwood 'Old Cellar Dweller' 2018 vintage ABV:10%
aged for 4 years might help prost

 

The government joint 100m from my place stocks it cold and fresh which means I drink a lot of this one and that's OK cause it's incredible

 

Had to do a 12 hour round trip drive from SW Ontario to Gatineu, QC to get it... but worth the trip. Unibroue's 30th Anniversary Belgian-Style Maple Stout.

 

This year's BCBS, a case of De dolle boskeun d private order and some left hand.

 

I'm from Denver but haven't had any Left Hand. Living in Montreal. Have to try next time I can get my hands on some.

 

By the Christmas tree with some Delirium Noël. Very yummy, Charlie Brown soundtrack on, great vibe!

It seems that winter has arrived in Beautiful (Victoria) BC Canada ,
it's a very cold -6 Celsius (that's 21 Fahrenheit) here today ,
the third day of +30 cm of snow having fallen , (that's over a foot) ,
so lets enjoy a couple of Barleywine's ,
Howe Sound Brewing 'Wooly Bugger' 2021 vintage
& Phillip's Brewing 'Trainwreck' 2022 vintage , might help keep warm

 

Just finished a Mikkeller Beer Geek Cocoa Shake and now onto a Schneider Weiss Aventinus (Tap 6)....yes it is a big beer night....and so delicious!!

 

My 2 favourite brews from the past couple weeks have been;

Young Lions Svec from Hoyne which is a very tasty dark lager.

Comexico Pale Ale from Land & Sea Brewing in Comox. A fruity and delicious easy drinker.

I may pick up a 4 pack of the Comexico to save for summer in case they rotate out of their lineup before the heat comes. The thought of putting a couple back by the river on one of our inevitable +30* days has my mouth watering.

 

Been drinking Action Phil from Trailway in NB.

West Coast TIPA goodness. 10.5% is sneaky.

I hope they keep this in rotation and not just a one off.

When the brewery is literally a 3 minute drive from where you live, it's impossible not to take advantage...

Trailway Hu Jon Hops Heavy, their amped up DIPA version of their flagship IPA Hu Jon Hops.

Smooth, fruity, hoppy, dank...what more could one ask for.

I hope they keep this one around.

From last night. A beer friend who is not on this site says it is the best lager he has ever had. He has had many. I might agree, though a fresh Jever is near and dear to my beer heart.

Godspeed Sklepník, Czech style lager conditioned in Urquel made pitch-lined barrels.



And, Bellwoods Zongklorg. This is a great take on a macro lager.
