I've seen it several times at both of my local New Seasons.
It was a collab with New Seasons special for Feast, if I remember correctly.
Our local New Seasons went belly up some months ago, and I haven't been to a New Seasons since then. So that might explain why I haven't seen it around.
I've only ever had it at the brewpub and thought it quite good!
Structures Soft Spoken ImpIPA.
Currently a New Seasons Exclusive
New Seasons exclusive, this is the Feast edition.
Spontaneous trip to Orenco Taphouse leads to more FH Pallet Jack in my glass.
Great days indeed!
Enjoying something from Sasquatch tonight..
Sasquatch - Citra Fresh Hop Mouth Pillow
Cheers, fellow NW-LNBAs!
Having a Casade Lakes Elk Camp IPA, whilst watching the Cards move on. Viva El Birdos!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just so happy they didn't have to bring in Martinez again to "close" things down. Very content with the 13-1 "nailbiter" tonight.
Now at Belmont Station drinking a celebratory glass of Ecliptic cosmic collaboration with Rusdisn river. Not bad at all.
However, the RR instinction is incredible..
I've been meaning to grab a bottle of it.
Growler Guys Seattle has fresh hop Bodhizafa. Yea!
What a crazy f@#*ing week. Now at Hoplandia enjoying Holy Mountains version of a Munich-Style Festbier. Pretty good, slightly funky, seriously lacking the bready sweetness. Prost!
That reminds me- I miss the GG in SE PDX.
You and me both Dyan. You and me both.
BTW. Ran into Brendan and his wife at the Hood River fh event. Just spoke to him briefly, but it sounds like all is well and they love living in HR. Gave me some great tips on the local restaurant scene in HR.
Really miss GG, but sounds like he made the right decision for he and his family.
Anchorage Brewing’s Composure tonight, ostensibly a triple-dry-hopped quadruple IPA. So many adjectives... It is orangey goodness though.
Block 15 spring amusement on tap at the source.
BTW - cans of Story of the Ghost available
Mrs. vurt and I are splitting a can of Fremont Head Full of Fresh Hops to start off our Friday. Canning date: 10/7/19, with fresh Mosaic and Ekuanot hops.
It is a very good start. And that serious lingering bitterness makes for an excellent finish. Great stuff, friendly Fremont folk!
Drinking a weather inappropriate unfiltered helles lager from Vermont and I couldn't be happier.
There's inappropriate weather for helles lager? Or is "Inappropriate Weather" the name of the beer?
If not, it should be.
Finishing off a can of Fort George Fields of Green Crosby Comet. It's good. Certainly better than the last two years of Fort George Fresh IPA.
Cold fall nights are generally considered a bad time for a helles. Usually by the same people who think barleywines in summer, or cereal for dinner are inappropriate.
Not the biggest pumpkin beer fan, but the Elysian night owl I'm drinking is pretty good. Not too sweet or boozy, but with a boatload of spice. A beer that harks of autumns past.
Enough reminiscing... Onward with the fh varietal rake breaker (dank and excellent), the instinction and hellshire 9. A good day to hang out at Belmont Station for a bit.
Hamish LXX. 70 shilling ale.
Bine Valley in Salem.
3.9% Scottish Ale.
Nice weekend drinker. The guys named it after my Dad.
Went on a tear last night hitting up Ruse, Modern Times, HotD, my favorite Ramen bar, and two other spots I've never been to. Friends visiting and was feeling the aftermath today.
Nursing complete, time to get back in the game with some New Seasons collabs . Just finished this:
Moving on to my second to last can of this:
At Belmont Station, enjoying a glass of Varietal/Barley Brown's Rake Breaker Fresh Hop Hazy IIPA, while the wife has an Ecliptic Altair Fresh Hop Pale.
Anchorage Brewing’s Patterns 4 tonight, another “quad IPA.” This is how one does a hazy west coast IPA: murky, dark, big piney hop aroma, fresh zing on the tongue, and a malty, bitter finish. Highly recommend.
Just finished up a security shift at the MBT (Jake Shimabukuro, the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele. Nice guy, great show.), and am now relaxing with a Boneyard RPM. Tasty as always:
Now having a Deschutes Hand Up IPA. Nice, not RPM, but nice:
Weather nice enough to bbq. Wrapping up with Block 15 Story of the Ghost
Hit Kruger farm market pumpkin patch earlier today. Gotta say, pretty sweet setup. Captured by Porches has 6-8 beers on tap (the apricot beer was not sour but actually quite good), lots of food options, yard games, and of course pumpkins. Also; this super creepy statue
Looks like @LiquidAmber and @DefenCorps had some nice things to say about this beer. I agree. It's simply lovely. Cheers.
Enjoying some lovely mild weather on the porch with a book (James Ellroy's Perfidia) and a fresh hop beer (Bend Brewing Fresh Trop Fresh Hop IPA, with Mosaic hops, canned 10/01/19).
Had to add this to the database today cuz some Portland BAs were apparently slackin'.
Pretty good, while not terribly distinctive, flavor-wise. First IPA I've had with a Norwegian farmhouse ale.
Now drinking a pint of Sun River Holy Schmidt. It's OK, but I get the impression lagers aren't their strong suit.
Now enjoying a can of Citra Slicker Fresh Hop IPA from Bale Breaker and Cloudburst. It is terrific, and is the 2nd best fresh hop beer I've enjoyed this weekend (right behind Fresh Trop, the beer I just finished).
Cooking up a big batch of NM style green chile enchiladas, because it's fall and that's what happens around Casa de vurt.
Opened up a can of Occidental Festbier because these enchiladas are plenty festive.
Quality time with the Bellingham hobos (Terry too) at 5 Rights. Terry doesn't like his picture taken but that's his arm. 5-Rights is pretty awesome. Worth a visit:
5 Rights was indeed a worthy stop. Our other visit was, uh, interesting.....
