I'm having an Ex Novo Fresh Hop Eliot that is so good and bright and green that I'm wondering if it's a new batch with a new fresh hop. Will investigate.

Had a Buoy Pilsner at Vita's musican appreciation dinner... pays to have a dad who plays music (and built the stage, ha)! Delicious pizza, even though I don't eat pizza anymore, and beer, all for just tips... Beautiful weather, lots of good people... not a bad end to the day.

Now I'm sipping a Never Let Go! FH Summer Ale with Amarillo from Fremont. Solidly enjoyable, but I wanted more FH character, honestly.

After a few days of drinking non-PNW beers, I'm back in the fold with a can of the Marionberry Lavender Sour from Deschutes. It makes me think of liquid handsoap, which is another way of saying that i should have stuck to non-PNW beers. In fact, i just might, and go get that Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier that's calling my name.

    Bale Breaker Sesiones del Migrante

At The Pine Box, drinking Bale Breaker Sesiones del Migrante. It's still a fine beer, and still a worthy cause. It's hazier than I remember from earlier years, but then my memory these days is plenty hazy too. It's still plenty bitter, along with the fruit. It may be a murkbomb to Terry, but it's a solid IPA to me.

Having a Reubens Hop Idol 2019. Total murkbomb that looks like pineapple juice, and tastes, at various points on the palate, like pineapple and/or orange joose. 1andDone for me.

After a Paulaner Munich Lager, some fresh hops:

    1) Fremont Centennial-Simcoe Field to Ferment Fresh Hop. Loads of old school pine. Good nose, even greater flavor. Wonderful stuff.

    2) Reuben's Fresh Hop Crikey (Amarillo). Delicious, but I got more Amarillo from Fremont's "Never Let Go" fresh hop. I look forward to trying another can, perhaps against my last crowler of Never Let Go.

I don't think Fresh Hop Crikey is 100% fresh hops. Maybe @reubensbrews can jump in and clarify.

The website lists Crikey as using Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, Chinook, and Magnum. The Instagram post for FH Crikey describes it as using fresh Amarillo hops, so I'm guessing everything else was pellets.

It's too bad they are not doing the Fresh Hop Amarillo this year. The 2017 batch was excellent.

Much worse. I've enjoyed pizza for most of my life. It's not until my adulthood, after learning how delicious pizza can be, that I've come to be unable to eat it. Woe is me.

Tonight I cracked into Two Beers' Acquisitions Incorporated collaboration Signing Bonus. I'm not into the haze, but this was pretty decent, I felt, though I could be biased, seeing as I enjoy the show and all.
Then my first can of F2F (Centennial + Simcoe, obviously). Didn't get nearly as much FH character as I remembered from years past (classic case of nostalgia coloured glasses? Byproduct of utilizing multiple hops instead of single? Something else?), but gives me the impression of a really solid old school WC IPA. Dig it.

The work week is over, and I'm treating myself to a couple beers at Whistle Punk's taproom.

First up is their Amarillo IPA (there's a tiny amount of Simcoe present as well), which is the first hazy IPA I've had that primarily involved Amarillo hops.
    Weird, but it works.
Now I'm on to SteamPunk, a "strong Belgian blonde" ale brewed in collaboration with Steam Plant Brewing.
Massive clove flavor up front, relatively decent mouthfeel for the style, but otherwise not terribly distinctive, but I'm always happy to see a local brewery try something Belgian-y. Hides it's alcohol content (8.8%abv!) quite well, btw.

I just finished up a Matchless C.S.A. Fresh Hop tallboy: A pale with fresh centennial and amarillo. Pretty good stuff. Easily the most vegetal I've had thus far of the five FHs I've tried this season, and not in a bad way. The Fremont F2F still holds the top spot of these five for most in-your-face fresh hops, but I look forward to many a future contender.
