I did essential the same trip, except for VPB...It was packed after the Friday night session of the festival was evacuated. Neither are breweries, but we made it to The Warren Store for Double Sunshine, as well as hit the vineyard across the street from Fiddlehead.

Closer to home, lately I have visited Night Shift, Newburyport Brewing, and Blue Lobster.

The only brewery I have ever visited is the old Carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen. Very attractive buildings, albeit covered in swastikas (Carlsberg used the swastika as a logo before it became associated with the ****s). Most of the site was kind of deserted and empty when I was there, but we went round the visitors' centre, which was interesting.

    Russian River.

Friendly staff but poor service. Not enough waiters leading to long waits for ordering, food serving, bill retrieval, etc. Not enough sample pallets leading to long waits for beer. Who wants to wait for the guy next to you to finish his flight before you get your own order. Simply put, lousy bar management. If you know you have a shortage of basic tools, order more.

Just back from Maine and stopped at Allagash. Nice tour, great free samples. Picked up two bottles of Coolship. BB was waiting to be bottled but I left before it was on sale.

Did pick up a bottle of Lunch at the WF that was2 days old.

    Enjoy
