What breweries have you recently visited?

Went on a cruise two weeks ago out of New Orleans. On the way down we stopped at Abita. We had a good time and got to try some of their seasonal and select brews.

 

Iron Hill brewpub in West Chester, PA. Great little place. Amazing beer and food. I had some bourbon Octogon while there, a BBA quad, and holy hell was it delicious. Plan on hitting Tired Hands for the first time next week. I can't believe I haven't been there yet, seeing as how it's only a 45 minute drive away!

 

Holy City Brewing and COAST Brewing, both in North Charleston, SC.
Our state's "pint law" passed in June, so we can now enjoy full pints served at local breweries instead of samples only.

 

Powerhouse Brewing Company in Columbus, Indiana

 

Done Troegs most recently. The new site in Hershey is much better than the old one in Harrisburg. Gift shop has room to browse, tasting room/bar works well, self guided tour well laid out with good signage, etc.

 

Came back from Florida a week ago. Made it to Cigar City and Funky Buddha

 

Troegs yesterday, excellent beer, good grub, large seating area, a very pleasant afternoon.

 

Heathen Brewing, if you get a chance find their beer it is very well done, should'nt be passed up

 

That's an unusual combination of locations, not to say a distant side trip, one place from the other!

 

My wife and I take frequent, one or two-day pub crawl trips, or we try to plan our itineraries when we are on other vacations trips so that we stop at breweries for lunch and dinner where possible. We visited Fenton Winery & Brewery and 51 North Brewing here in Michigan over this past weekend on our way to a wedding reception. I am closing in on 200 different breweries over the years, and my wife has 170+ to her credit. It's a fun thing to do.

 

Last weekend I was at Troegs in Hershey and the previous weekend I hit Yards in Philly and Tired Hands in Ardmore.

 

How are the brews at North Brewing? I am headed through Endicott this weekend......

 

Was in Portland and Bend last week. We hit Upright, Cascade, HOTD, Commons, Boneyard, Crux, and 10 Barrel, and of course some awesome beer bars.

 

Against the Grain in Louisville KY was awesome! Fantastic food, beer, and staff!

 

Went to Funky Buddha Brewery on Friday. Not much of a trip (45 minutes or so.)
Back in May I went to Cantillon and Weihenstephan.

 

In May I stopped at Devil's Backbone (VA). June included a visit to Crooked Stave and July was a stop at Oskar Blues East (NC). Most recently, I was at Straight to Ale (AL) just over a week ago.

Over the 4th of July weekend I found myself in Grand Rapids and within walking distance from my hotel to Founders. Finally checked that one off the list

 

Went to Goose Island Clybourne...got to see some of the upcoming stuff.

 

Went to Chocolate City and 3Stars over the weekend
