Just curious, as it seems to be the smallest batch of Beatification.

    It'll land some beer.

Aside from a lower bottle count, not much reason to throw rarer bottles for this over a batch 5

Batch 3 was the last of the 750mL?

I traded Beatification batch 004 and 2x Blind Pig for a Beatification batch 003 around a year ago.

Well, are you going on taste or rarity? My understanding of the beer trading "market" is that rarity pretty much determines what you can trade for or not trade for, while taste is kind of an afterthought. Batch 004 was gone within minutes and was only 250-300 bottles (with people turned away at the door) while batch 005 (01/10/12) lasted for a few weeks and was 12000 bottles.

I concur with your sentiment that aside from the lower bottle count there isn't much reason to throw rarer bottles for this over a batch 005 if you just want to try Beatification. Batch 004 is unique in that it is the lowest number of bottles of Beatification produced for any batch, and was bottled with real unicorn tears, while batch 005 contains no unicorn tears.

I'd also be interested in hearing about any recent trades involving Beatification batch 004.

I agree with the above sentiments re 4v5. Beatification is for drinking. Batch 5 is tasting phenomenal right now

Not only last, but only. 1, pH1, and 2 were in those small "genie" 375's.

Unless I am mistaken, I remember hearing there were a small amount of 750's of batch 2 filled as well (while the majority were 375's)

Could be, I've never seen one. (Not that I've seen that many B2's, just a couple.)

I have 3 bottles left, and am going to see how they do over the next two years or so. It is certainly drinking great now though...

I only ever got one in a trade, and just haven't found a good time to open it yet. I'm looking forward to it once the weather warms up a bit on a nice sunny day.

Why wait for the weather? Beatification is like sunshine in a bottle.

That's tempting. I just can't imagine how good it'll be on a 75 degree sunny day on my back patio relaxing. Unlike the BS snow/sleet were getting today.
