I was sitting around and talking to a few buddies and we all have our favorite beer that is our " holy grail " and we will never trade away. My buddy has his Rare and I will never part with my 50/50s. So that just brings me to this thread. I am sure most everyone on BA has something in their cellar that they will trade or sell and will probably keep forever or open on a very special occasion.

What is that beer for you?

Lou Pepe Kriek 2009 is being saved for my wedding day. Also, I just absolutely love Splinter Gold and would be hard pressed to trade away my only bottle, even though I drank my fair share at Troegs.

Rarest would probably be either Great or DDG, which are probably 2 of my top 10 favorite beers. My most prized is probably my 2010 750ml Cantillon Kriek, only because it was one of the first beers I ever decided to set aside. I'm looking forward to opening that one up in a couple more years.

I don't have anything terribly old and/or rare, but my two notables are a 2011 Westy XII (because it's screenprinted) and some Weyerbacher Zotten (because they changed the name).

Lots of great beers down there but none of them do I plan to drink alone so I will say that my most coveted beer is the one that someone who comes into my cellar says, "I love that beer" or "Always wanted to try that one". Nothing like being able to make someone's day and a beer shared with good friend is always that much better/more special.

What is the most prized beer in your cellar not necessarily by rarity or highly rated buy by pure emotional value for me it would be my bottle of Weyerbacher Tiny, because it was my first beer I put in my cellar two years ago

The ratings are abysmal, but I would probably say that my bottle of Full Sail Manhattan Project (RB link because it doesn't exist in the BA database) is the most prized beer in the cellar. It was a gift from John Harris several years ago, and judging by his surprise when I mentioned it a few months ago, it is quite possibly the last bottle in existence.

I doubt I'll ever drink it, but I've threatened to bring it to Ecliptic Brewing (John's new brewery) and infect his new facility with it. He was not amused.

As of right now, since my cellar is just starting to grow, a 2010 World Wide Stout, 2013 Westbrook Grumpy (which I'm gifting actually), a special release Woot Stout and a 2013 Whiskey Barrel Aged Bigfoot. On a personal level being this is a favorite beer of mine and my first beer I cellares, a 2012 Olde Suffolk.
