Stone espresso IRS. ST BERNARDUS 12
Lagunitas Sucks (bought 2 cases), Sixpoint Resin (drinking my way through a case now), and Great Lakes Rye of the Tiger (54 bottles) are my top 3. All new to me in 2013.
Just drank my last bottle of Sucks. Currently drinking a Resin. Gotta give the nod to Resin.
Guess I need to drink a Rye of the Tiger next.
I would have to say Black Note so far for this year.
Black Note with Hopslam and CBC Creeper right behind
Heady, Enjoy By and Sucks, in no order...
HaandBic was a band-aide bomb. This is not a desirable quality in beer. Subtle amounts are ok in a wild ale/lambic, but the two bottles of HaandBic I bought this year were a disaster.
Permanent Funeral so far...but ba abraxas is still in the cellar.
It wont be there long. Thanks!!
First one that came to mind was Supernaut by New England Brewing.
Barney Flats Oatmeal stout...followed closely by 2011 John Barleycorn Barleywine ale.
Flying Dog Single-Hop Citra
Hmmm...are we talkin brand new? Gotta be Enjoy By for me...gotta get down to Munster for some PF...
New Holland Night Tripper
Have had to many new beers from 2013 but DAMN was Alchemy Hour so freaking inmpressive
It must be the year of the stout for me. My highest 3 rated beers this year are:
Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout
Atwater Block Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale
Finch's Secret Stache Stout
New Glarus Berliner Weisse
Ommegang Fleur de Houblon.
Stone Espresso RIS
Evo lot. no. 6 DIPA
New Belgium La Folie
i probably will add the Parabola i bought but i'm gonna hold on to that
one for a bit.
Great Lakes Alchemy Hour
Me? Oh, sorry, did not see you there.
Stone 16th, period.
Well it's as good as it sounds!
Peekskill Brewing has my favorite beers right now, unfortunatly they are not in bottles. Simple Sour, Amazeballs, Higher Standard....Chief is doing amazing things
Just traded for a bottle of this..looking forward to it!
Portsmouth's Royal Impy.
Had a buddy make a trip up to Illinois and bring back a ton of ZD and Permanent Funeral....PF is worth whatever you traded!
With that said, PF might be the best that I've tried this year
Toppling Goliath Morning Delight
The lemon pledge ale!? Hmmm...
I've got two beers that I don't think anyone's mentioned yet. Goose Island Sofie Paradisi and Hill Farmstead Edith. Both are amazing saisons. Also was a huge fan of Tired Hands' Guillemot Prunus and HF's Society & Solitude #6.
As for beers that were new to me, but not new beers, Drie Fonteinen Armand'4 Zomer, Hill Farmstead Jim (batch 1), Peg's RareR DOS, Surly Darkness (2008), Evil Twin Port Even More Jesus, Koutsky 12 pilsner, Boneyard Hop Venom and Notorious.
Founders Double Trouble, Sucks, Enjoyby in no particular order ..
California brandy hunahpu
For me its probably Jacks Abby BA Framminghammer
I hope you had a good friend with you to help you up...i hate when i randomly crumble to the floor
Bigfoot Barrel Aged by far
Mornin' Delight for sure.
#1 is easily Hair of the Dog Pannepooch, which they told me at the brewery they would hopefully be bottling later this year. Let's all pray that happens.
Also surprisingly good: Bootlegger's Tropical Thunder.
