I cannot pick any particular out of the rest as far as PA is concerned. I guess Prima Pils was pretty good.

 

Hoponius Union was first to come to mind for Massachusetts.

 

Okay, I'll play along... even though I am very close to Wisconsin and there are many more to build a list from there.

The Wright Pils. Which has apparently become brewpub-only. Sigh.

 

I will go with Kiwi Rising.

Southern Barrel Helles Lager is probably the best true pale lager in the state.

COAST 32/50 Kolsch doesn't count I guess, as it is not a true lager in the American sense, but it is possibly the finest example of the style in the world. Their Pilsner is also excellent, but brewed infrequently enough that I wouldn't really give it consideration here.

House Lager (essentially a helles)
Hoponius Union (as long as IPLs count – it is pale and a lager)

 

I miss that beer.

 

It was too sweet. With hops. That's why I think SSSH! The bohemian pilsner. The "bopils" that people like gives good bitterness and won't leave you to sink in a fat dough.

 

Lots of high quality pale lagers in PA. If I was compelled to down select to one I suppose I would choose Troegs Sunshine Pils.
