Glass, some labels, and bottle caps. I also have a shelf with 8 empty bottles on it, for some favorites, with a one in one out policy.

I buy a Glass from each brewery that I go to. Stickers and coasters sometimes, but not that often.

My collection started out as just bottle openers

I've now included coasters (if they're worthy), some caps, stickers, and signs.

I used to collect the coasters (just the cheap cardboard ones) from pubs and bars. When we moved my fiance threw them away.

    My "beer shrine" consists of:
Glassware (mostly non-branded, I collect as many styles of beer glasses as possible)
Bottles/cans (from rare/special beers...I try to give one up whenever I add one, lest my shelves once again become covered by beverage containers like they were during the days of my massive energy drink collection)
    Caps/corks (from anything I drink)
    Coasters (from a European trip)
Bottle openers (just a few, some from local bottle shops/breweries, others have history in the family)
    Growlers (from local places)
Also the box from a New Glarus variety pack, and some books on beer.

I did growlers, then glasses, now coasters and bottle openers.. Cheaper, take up less space, easier to transport home.

If you insist...it's nothing much. Most of my glassware that I actually use is still in my dorm room, so there's about 15-20 non-branded glasses of various styles missing. I brought the essentials with me, those are the ones on the desk.
I won't waste anyone's time listing everything, ask about something if it's hard to see what it is.

Any bottle openers that don't bend or dent the cap? I have 5 that all leave some kind of mark on the cap

I do glassware and bottle caps, but seeing as the overflow of bottles is now taking up most of my closet, I either need to cut back or start doing caps only.

There are some types of openers in the market that won't damage the cap, but it's easy to pry a cap off with absolutely no damage using a Bic lighter as mentioned above, or my method is to place a quarter on top of the cap before prying. This method works best with a D-loop type of opener (the bigger the opening, the better it works) rather than a church key style. Just keep a quarter in the drawer where your opener is kept.

I collect Iron City cans (and all variants from Pittsburgh Brewing like Olde Frothingslosh, et al). I don't have many, maybe around 100 different ones and some dating to the 60's, but I have a good display of most of them in the downstairs powder room. Many of them are steel; Iron City stopped canning with steel around 1990.

[IMG] This is my 2nd beer frige (don't use a flathead screwdriver to remove ice build-up on your first beer frige). Many of these stickers came from my first one - I just peeled them (the vinyl ones, that is) off the old frige and put them on the new one. I saved about 90% of them! More pictures of other my beer crap to follow in my ongoing series...

Been there, done that! :slight_frown: It's easier to do than your brain will admit.

My occurrence was when I served in Vietnam and my buddy and I were assigned to defrost the beer fridge on our day off. As hot as that country is and the short amount of time that it would take for nature to perform the melting, we decided to hurry the process. Unfortunately there was no repair service available, and we had to complete the rest of our year's tour without a beer fridge. :slight_frown::slight_frown::slight_frown::slight_frown:

I've recently begun collecting caps, with the intention of making a bar top/table with them. I'm also kind of tempted to gather a few coasters/labels/stickers etc and fill picture frames or possibly my dartboard cabinet.

But I should probably concentrate on redecorating the house first or it will never get done!

I'm a glassware guy. I don't know about collector, though the level of dissatisfaction my wife expresses would indicate otherwise, but I like having at least one of each major drinking glass style, and a bunch of fairly random branded glasses (Duvel tulip, Petrus flute, etc.).

Do you ever trade your caps with other collectors. If so, perhaps you would consider a trade with a UK collector - for UK/European beer caps.
