Starting off with one of my favorites from Jack’s Abby. Got that malty crisp that I’ve been loving lately.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a beer from Kettlhead out of Tilton NH, so when I saw their flagship ipa; The Agent at my local beer store I picked up a four pack. Nice hazy ipa with an abv of 7%.

Finally got my hands on some Nectar and really enjoying this year’s rendition. Pretty hoppy, pretty juicy, and pretty good. 12-pack might not last as long as I’d like.

My next coffee is Irish Coffee and it definitely smells exactly like it should which is pretty impressive. Gotta say, really enjoy this which I’m kinda surprised about because I wasn’t a huge fan two years ago. Definitely nailed it.

I remember this one is hit and miss over the years but when it is on it nails it. I was looking at my check-ins and cant believe the first time I had it was 7 years ago. :astonished:

Having another one of these big boys from Nightmare. Agam Kuan. That cardamon, chai, masala Indian spice is huge in this and I really enjoy it. It’s unbelievable how smooth 15.6% can taste. This is his best stout since one of the first Scaphism batches.

They didn’t brew it last year which I wasn’t unhappy about it. But, this is a major improvement. I want to say Augie (tried to rage him, not sure he’s active here anymore) did something different but I don’t have any pics of my cans from 2 years ago. I feel the nutmeg/mint combo is different.

Joining @guinness77 with a bottle of Nugget Nectar. Also beer related, finally (since I already have about a dozen other hot sauces in the fridge) opening up the bottle of Red Heady hot sauce that I picked up at The Alchemist a few months ago. Made with Heady Topper, but I don't think I can identify any beer flavor in it. But still tasty on my chicken enchiladas dinner.

Imprint Brewing - Oatology, nitro can. Smooth, decent bittersweet chocolatey flavors. Although I was kind of shocked to look at the bottom of the can to see a date of "Canned on date of 8/04/22" considering I bought the 4-pack at the brewery 2 weeks ago.

I am away from home on a short vacation with my family to the Poconos. We took the kiddies snow tubing today, so instead of reviewing a new beer I brought a can of Von Trapp - Trösten with me that I poured into a clear plastic Solo cup and enjoyed with dinner. One of the best things was that even though it was in the car all day, it was basically the perfect temperature for consumption when I was ready to drink it at the hotel. Along with Jack's Abby - Smoke & Dagger, these are two of my favorite dark lagers and they both have some smoked malt.

Went to a nice steak place last year and ordered a Boston Lager on draft as they really didn't have an extensive beer list. I couldn't remember the last time I had one. It kind of actually blew me away. Now I order it often (so long as its on draft) when the wife and I are out to dinner & always enjoy it.

First time having this "whale" and it's... Okay? It tastes like any other Tree House beer. Maybe it was #BetterinMonson? I remember MattOC drank a bunch of TH beers at the end of the 2022 thread and he was not impressed with this one. I have to agree. It has some papaya and mango going on, but has a pretty boozy finish.

Does anyone know why 2SP didn't collaborate with Wawa for their coffee stout this year? For the past few years, they have been collaborating with Wawa so I am curious if anyone heard anything about the change in partnership...

No idea, maybe they just wanted to mix things up. I had actually never heard of Herman's before, although I am not a coffee drinker (save for an occasional after-dinner espresso at a nice restaurant.) I just like coffee flavored things.

As far as I can tell the only location of Herman's is the one in S. Philly. I'm surprised that 2SP would partner with them on something, you'd have to imagine that Wawa's marketing budget is just a bit larger than theirs. Maybe they just like the coffee? Good for Herman's, though, it's a cool spot.

I just enjoyed a very nice Japanese Rice Lager from Jack's Abby - Kogarashi.

According to Jack's Abby's website, it is available on draft in their Beer Hall and in cans at Wegmans.

My first post of 2023. Hope everyone is having a safe and healthy 2023! Still working on my supply of dwelling place. Realized I didn’t take a pic just yet. It’s got a tea like flavor with a dank bitter finish. I dig it but think sidesaddle is more my jam.

Gotta say, it smells the part despite the brewery and the somewhat low abv (8%). Not bad. Prunes, stone-type fruit, yeasty. I was saving this for last and it’s actually decent.

hello friends, this is my first beer(or drink) since 1/1, which beats my previous record by a lot lol, can’t imagine I hit 7 days sober since I was 16. I won’t go back to the old alexsergio for at least this year, hopefully not ever.

As I’ve heard, the long layoff makes this taste better. Either that or it’s another delish stout brewed at finback with root and branch attached as the collab brewery. Whatever, this beer is superb and if you see it, buy it!!!
