Near by I am considering going to either The Stone Brewery, Churchill's San Marcos, or Pizza Port Carlsbad. I'm planning on getting there around 4pm. Which one of these joints will be the least crowded due to the holiday? I haven't been to any of these places on a weekend, much less a holiday weekend.

I was actually thinking of hitting Churchill's myself - have yet to check it out.

Sorry, guess that doesn't help much heh.

PP Carlsbad simply because it's closer to the beach, and it shouldn't be 100 damn degrees like Esco...

I went to Churchill's consider that I believed that people will be coast bound to escape the heat. Churchill's was terrific, and not too busy, just normal busy. I had Sculpin on tap and I never tasted it fresher, and also some Old Raspy on Nitro, and some 2010 Double Bastard. Had the grilled cheese and the Craft Beer Chocolate Cake. Awesome.
